We all know we shouldn't pick at spots but on the same token walking round with big blackheads and spots on the face are rather unsightly. Not so much a problem now but I had quite a few black heads as a teenager which led me to discover this little device by body shop. The black head buster simply does what you do when you use your two fingers to squeeze a spot but provides a more hygienic way of doing it with better precision.
*Price and availability*You can buy these from the body shop store or online and are priced at £3.00. You can buy second hand ones from EBay but the thought of using someone else's spot squeezing tool is a little too much for me despite loving a bargain!
*Description*The metal stick is about 10 cm long with a loop on either side; one smaller and one larger. I used to have the old body shop design which was a 10cm long handle with a little bowl on one end with a tiny hole in. I much preferred the design of the old one as found it applied much more pressure and therefore I had much better results with it.
*How to use** Use after a bath or a shower as the hot water will help open the pores of the skin.I find the device works perfectly for the blackheads that are close to the surface and ready for squeezing out. It is not a miracle worker and can't pop out every blackhead but think it is worth it for the ones it can and I find using it quite satisfying albeit rather disgusting. I've used the blackhead strips before and had minimal success with them so when seeing this product I found it quite refreshing. It is a little painful but only as painful as squeezing with your nails and you apply the pressure so you can control the pain!
It's much easier using the stick rather than your fingers as it applies much more pressure to the small area around the spot and also allows you much more room in the mirror to see what you are doing rather than just seeing your fingers clumsily clawing at the skin.
