Advantages: smooth moisturised skin Disadvantages: the price
...I never seems to have the time, but this stuff is luxurious.
I apply this stuff after I've had a bath and dab it over my skin, then rubbing it in. It is of quite a thick consistency and not at all runny. It doesnt seem to be greasy and my skin absorbs it straight away. It dramatically moisturises the skin and leaves a lovely sweet cocoa butter smell, which stays on the skin for a good while. Body Shop Cocoa Butter Body Butter, for very dry skin.
I originally tried this as I had received it as a Christmas present. Im not one for sticking to rigorous regimes of moisturising my skin as I never seems to have the time, but this stuff is luxurious.

The top half of the writing is in English and the bottom half corresponds in French. It does state that the product is for very dry skin.
On the bottom side of the tub is a peelable information leaflet, with the top piece stating what it is in many different languages. It also shows a little picture which states that once opened it is useable for 12 months.
On peeling back the leaflet on the left hand-side, it tells you how to use the product. Pat some onto the skin then massage in (hardly rocket science). It also states that it is made using cocoa beans from Ghana, shea butter from Ghana and Soya oil from Brazil
AMOUNT
The tub contains 200ml or 6.9 oz (196 g)
PRICE
The Body Butter is rather pricey at approx £8-£10. But I do think it is worth it as it lasts for ever. I am on my second tub since Christmas and it's still half full.
INGREDIENTS
Although I have no idea myself of the ingredients. I'll tell you what is in here for future reference.
They believe that testing products or ingredients on animals to be morally and scientifically wrong
They support small producer companies around the world.
They believe that every person has a responsibility to support those that have human rights denied to them They believe that a business should act responsibility to protect the environment.
MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION
I can't rate this stuff highly enough I get really dry skin on my legs especially after de-fuzzing them and this product makes my legs feel silky smooth. Yes I know a few are going to comment on the price, but when you consider the time it lasts for surely it is worth it as a long term investment
The Body Shop has launched a new range called 'Africa'. Each product comes in a huge tub, beautifully presented and makes a great present. I, however, would rather just treat myself!
My favourite of the range, is their pots of Cocoa Butter Body Lotion. It smells absolutely yummy and is such a treat - I can't wait to get out of the bath so that I can apply the product! The lotion is thick and very intensive. It sinks into the skin evenly and is very ... ...so silky and smooth. The Body Shop buy their cocoa beans from a trade organisation in Africa - hence, the product name. By buying the product, you are also helping disadvantaged people to gain employment. The range also includes mud masks and bath salts. The pot is quite pricey, but is definetley worth it if you are looking for a really intensive cream. The smell is so delicious that you will find yourself applying it just to quell your hunger. Yum, ...

Advantages: Good skin results after a few days. Disadvantages: A runny lotion and a 'rich' smell.
...absoloutely wonders for your skin. The smell is a real 'feel good factor' but sadly not everyone loves the rich scent of cocoa butter. The other 'not-so-good-thing' is that the bottle cannot be in an array of sizes and the bottle is awfully 'plain.' As for your skin, well that's what really matters. Body shop's lotions are great for dry or irritated skin-just like mine. The lotion works wonders and is just a tiny bit disappointing due to the fact ...

...products on animals other than the ones they are intended for (yes, good old homo sapiens). The reason for this is very simple: the melting point of cocoa butter is just slightly lower than normal skin temperature and the skin absorbs the oil very well. As part of the 'Africa' range of products, the cocoa butter used in the Cocoa Butter body lotion is fairly traded (in other words, farmers growing cocoa beans are paid a reasonable living wage for ... ...As far as the product itself is concerned, like many Body Shop products, it is available in different packages, from the 30ml bottle (ideal for holidays, a gym kit or as a tester) for about a couple of quid, up to larger 250ml bottles. As with most products, larger bottles can be more economical, but if you are anything like me, you'll probably waste the extra value by using more of the product than you need to.
As expected, I found the cocoa butter ...

...luxury in a bottle, and the scent is divine. It’s a rich lotion containing cocoa butter and sweet almond oil that moisturizes and softens your skin with instant effect. The thick and rich texture of the lotion flows out of the bottle with ease and spreads evenly on your skin. It’s easily absorbed and is a great source of comfort especially in the cold awful winter. It is wonderful to soothe dry and rough skin.

Advantages: A lovely lotion with such great effects on the skin Disadvantages: None I can think of really!
CocoaButter Hand Lotion from The BodyShop (for Dry Skin). I have been using a sample bottle of this product, in fact it's the Hand & BodyButter in a 60ml bottle. This was a gift with lots of other small bottles, which I think is a great gift as you can get to try out and see which ones you would like to buy in bigger bottles.
The low down from The BodyShop about their CocoaButter range is as follows (and one of their best sellers with a very interesting background):
CocoaButter: For centuries the women of Ghana have used cocoabutter to moisturise and cool their skin in the African heat. Since 1995, The BodyShop has been buying cocoa beans from the Kuapa Kokoo company in Ghana, a fair trade co-operative with over 30,000 small-scale farmers. The money made by the co-operative enables the development of community projects such ...

The fake tan that The Bodyshop do is called ‘Fake It!’ and as I had never tried it before, I was a little concerned that it would make me orange or go streaky or something as I had had no experience using this particular one before. Anyway, I figured I wouldn’t get anywhere if I didn’t try it and it had to be better than looking all white.
After finding the tanning lotion, I saw that there was a whole kit you could buy which contains 1 bottle of self-tanning lotion, 1 small bottle of cocoabutterbodylotion, 1 tub of rice bran scrub and a special glove for application. So, it seems that even the Bodyshop has its little ways of making you spend more money too. But I figured that if I’m going to do this I may as well do it properly in a way that the shop recommends.
The way you use this is pretty ...
