The Body Shop Japanese Cherry Blossom Body Mist

The Body Shop is a relativly large company, that claims to 'constantly seek out wonderful natural ingredients from all four corners of the globe, and bring you products bursting with effectiveness to enhance your natural beauty.'The company also aims to responsibly source its products, and is activly against animal testing. As if this wasnt enough the company is also heavily involved in their charity, known as 'The Body Shop Foundation', which aims to seek out innovative projects that work towards social and enviromental change. Personally, I feel that the responsible and fair actions of this company contribute in a big way to the opinion i form in relation to their products. Knowing the companies wholesome value's and beneficial work allows me to feel good about the products that I buy and use, and even leads me to buy products from the Body Shop that i could perhaps buy else where.

This body mist is just one of a number of products with the Japenese Cherry Blossom fragrence; with the other products including a perfume, a body butter and a hand moisturiser. The body mist comes in a 100 ml plastic bottle, which stands at approx 5 inches/ 13cm high, and is applied by the spritzing nozzle at the top. The bottle its self is pink, and has an attractive sticker which circles the tube. The sticker has a decorative front, which tell the buyer the name of the product in both French and English. The other side of the sticker includes a safety caution (Flammable. Avoid contact with eyes. Keep out of reach of children), which is written in a total of 13 languages, and a list of ingredients. Also, if the buyer wasn't aware of the companies stance against animal testing, 'Against Animal Testing' is also written on the bottle.

The bottle is lightweight, with an easily removable lid and spray nozzle. The actual frangrence its self is extremely pleasent, managing to smell fresh, floral, uplifting and clean all at once; a remarkably true to life frangrence.While is does not have the same impact as a perfume, the scent is also satisfyingly longlasting. The small size, and plastic bottle make the product extremely convenient and perfect for travel. I like it for the fact that i can throw it in my handbag, to use throughout the day, and not be scared about having a glass bottle that may break or leak. Its light scent makes it a perfect refresher scent for use throughout the day.

At £7, I did initially feel as though that was abit much to pay for a scent that has a similar effect to an aerosol body spray (which on avarge cost £2). However, I have had the spray for 3 months and use it a couple of times most days, and the bottle is not even half empty yet. It therefor lasts far longer than those type of body sprays. I also feel that the fair and responsible values of the brand probably lead their production costs to be higher than other high street brands. For most products I am quite happy to pay a little extra for the knowledge that the product was responsibly sourced and not tested on animals.

Overall, this is a great, convenient scent that I would recomend to anyone who asked!
