I don’t know about you, but I do suffer from whiffy feet, probably made worse by the fact, I do wear nylon pop sox (oooh sexy) or tights to work, well that and the fact I work in an office most of the day, even though it’s an air conditioned office, unfortunately this tends not to help your tootsies much, well you are wearing shoes for the best part of 9 hours and sometimes more!
So I have decided to share my little secret with you, well so long as you promise not to tell anyone??
Well it does involve The Body Shop (Yes I know AGAIN!) and their fabulous foot range!
I hear you shouting “For Gawd’s sake Heather, what is it then?”
Lemongrass Deodorising Foot Spray – It’s absolutely wonderful and just sheer magic, or at least that’s what Craig says – all I have to do to disguise the pong that usually greets me when removing my shoes is hold the bottle about 8” away from my feet and give them a couple of squirts to the soles and the tops of my feet, of course this varies, it just depends on how niffy they are at that particular time, this guarantees not only disguising the nasty pong but it also leaves my tootsies smelling and feeling fragrantly fresh!
When you squirt, they spray does produce fairly decent coverage, it feels cold and tingly but very soothing on application, it dries very quickly – even over my nylon tights, it leaves no sticky residue.
Your feet tend to go on feeling very refreshed for a while after; even the sweatiest of feet will notice a difference.
It’s suitable for all skin types and as I have been using this product for a few years, I can tell you I have never experienced any irritation or rash following use, but everyone’s skin if different so it’s probably a good idea to test a small area of skin before spraying liberally.
It comes in a clear plastic 100ml pump spray bottle around 6” high, not an aerosol – well it is Body Shop and they are famous for protecting the environment and of course their love of animals, that’s why they never have and never will test any of their products on animals.
You can clearly see the light lemon coloured liquid through the plastic and it’s branded with their very famous logo along with a distinctive pair of blue feet.
I usually keep a bottle of this in my drawer at work as I find I do tend to use this mostly at work throughout the days, a couple of wee squirts when I arrive in after my train journey, another wee squirt mid-morning and maybe another in the afternoon again, I find that's enough to keep the nasty niff's at bay.
One bottle usually lasts me around 6-8 weeks and at a cost of £3.50, it’s not too bad really, in fact for me it’s actually £3.50 well spent, I mean how embarrassed would I be if anyone was to get a whiff of my feet during my working day!
The smell from the bottle is rather fragrantly fresh leaving a nice summery citrus burst immediately after spraying, my colleagues tend to like the smell, so it doesn’t bother them too much, I always just say I use it to cool my feet off, which yes I am pleased to say it also does very well. See for yourself - go into the Body Shop the next you are passing (they even let you try the products out before buying), pick up the tester spray and give your feet a little squirt, I promise you will love the fresh and energised feeling that will overcome you.
But if lemongrass is not for you, they even do a version in peppermint, but it’s not for me, I find the peppermint a bit too overpowering, but you might love it!
It's also a good idea to tell you the liquid is flammable so it's not a good idea to spray whilst smoking a ciggie and please avoid contact with eyes, oh and as with everything that may be harmful in the grasp of little handies, keep out children's reach!
Would I be without it now??
Absolutely not, I have used many foot sprays over the years and have never found anything to match the results I find I get when using this. Well, anything that keeps Craig happy to have me take my shoes off in my way in the front door at night following a hard days work (lol) has got to be a miracle. In my opinion it’s a fantastic investment for everyone even just to perk you up a bit during the hot summer months whether you are male or female.

I've only told you about it today cause I was feeling generous but I know I can trust you not to tell anyone, it'll be our little secret, take care Heather:)
