... The pack contained Shea, Nut and Mango Body Butters, each in a little sample pot of 50mls, with an attractive red presentation box. It didn’t take me long to determine which one was my favourite. It was without doubt the Nut Butter. So, this is the ‘flavour’ I will be reviewing. The ... Read review

Nuts about body butter!
Review of The Body Shop Nut Body Butter by purplelynne

Advantages: Smells good enough to eat!
Disadvantages: Unfortunately NOT EDIBLE!

...read my previous review about the Avon range Planet Spa, you may realise I am a bit partial to Shea butter products. I think it’s a combination of the smell and the fact that it seems almost edible, despite the fact that it’s clearly not! I was given a selection pack of Body Butter products from the Body Shop for Christmas. I had previously gone into our local BS and tested some of their range, and couldn’t decided which one I liked best, so I thought ...
...that’s another story), would be the best option. The nut butter comes in a 300ml pot and is currently on offer in store and online for 2 for £17. It seems quite expensive, ... Read review

Smother yourself in nut butter
Review of The Body Shop Nut Body Butter by Donald

Advantages: fab smell, feels luxurious
Disadvantages: the price may put some people off

The Body Shop’s Body Butter range comes in a number of ‘flavours’ but my favourite is nut body butter. Like most women I like to try out a variety of different products, always thinking you’re going to stumble on ‘the right one’, well this time I really have found it. I have used this for about three years and it remains a firm favourite. This is an extremely rich moisturiser, which contains Brazil nut oil, shea butter (whatever that is!) and cocoa ...
...to use it more in the winter months, as it gives an instant result. However I think the thing that makes me use this product again and again is the fabulous smell. I’m not sure that I would have expected any smell from a product where the main ingredients are nuts but the combination give a great smell which to me is just like cinder toffee. On the label we are told that the Community Trade agreement has been used – the cocoa butter is made from ... Read review

I'M A NUT FOR NUT BUTTER
Review of The Body Shop Nut Body Butter by Sugarlily83

Advantages: Smells good
Disadvantages: Greasy, slow to absorb

The Body Shop. Overpriced, appears in every high street, underadvertised, confusing array of products you never knew you needed.... sounds like Starbucks then. But The Body Shop is all British, so it's a shop I do visit from time to time.... even if that Is just to use the lip balm testers! Mothers' Day 2000, I picked some of this stuff up. "Nut Body Butter" eh? Bunkham! Maybe, but the smell had me hooked: nutty with definite chocolatey undertones. ...
...a novelty product, due to the smell and the fact that it's Body Shop. Had it not been intended for a gift, a good quality lotion would have done the job at half the price: and wouldn't have been as greasy.... Body Butter is quite greasy yes, and is slow to absorb, and being the consistency of peanut butter, it can be difficult to spread into a thin absorbable layer. So, best apply just before bedtime and drape the hands (or other treated appendage) ... Read review

smell good enough to eat
Review of The Body Shop Nut Body Butter by PrincessGem

Advantages: curbs those choccy cravings, smells yummy, nice texture
Disadvantages: everything ELSE smells yummy too. Expensive.

...drop of vanilla essence on the back of your hand and sniffing it would stop the need to pig out on chocolate. I thought this was a fantastic trick, but I'm not one to fill the kitchen cupboards with even more crap I'll never use, even for the sake of losing weight. My bathroom cupboards, on the other hand, can easily be filled with yet more stuff. And a body lotion that might help me lose weight? Too good to be true. Nevertheless, I invested in ...
...skin to your bedclothes to the entire upstairs of your house. I figured this might do the same trick as the vanilla essence and stop me wanting chocolate. In reality all it did was make me want to eat myself. The body butter now comes in two sizes, in a brown, disc-like tub with your usual Body Shop ranting on it. The new size is a trial tub which sells for about £4, good if you want to test it before you splash out ont he fullsize one. Which is ... Read review

I've come over all nutty!
Review of The Body Shop Nut Body Butter by herby30

Advantages: Fabulously smelly!
Disadvantages: Pricey!

The Body Shop do a huge range of body butters, but the Nut type, which is suitable for dry skin is one of my favourites. This comes in a dark brown 200ml rounded plastic tub with Body Shop logo along with community trade logo, the cost is £10 per 200ml tub, but it lasts you ages, I've been using mine for approx 6 months or so and there's still loads left! It's a very rich moisturiser, contains Brazil nut oil (Amazon Region), shea butter (Ghana) ...
...community trade, it's where you the general public buy direct from co-operatives around the world that produce certain products ready for us to buy, cutting out the middle men's profits and it means when you shop, they feed and educate their communities that otherwise would not have the resources. So you can shop without feeling guilty!! Because it's really good for my dry skin, I find I'm using more during winter when my skin dries up, but I also ... Read review
