My sister bought me The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil Face Mask for Christmas, and I admit that it was one of the most satisfying beauty products that I recieved this year. The 100ml pot, a squashed cylindrical shape, is peppermint green in colour with a black lid. The instructions for use can be found on the underside of the pot.
This clay-based face mask is designed for normal, oily or blemished skin. I have found that it works really well on my face because my skin is not the same all over, meaning that some parts are oily, another has blemishes, and the rest is normal. An improvement in my overall complexion can be seen immediately after I remove the mask.
The mask is easy to use (probably very similar to most face masks.) Just smooth onto your face and neck after cleansing (avoiding lip and eye area) and leave it for ten minutes. The mask does not dry, so it feels like the necessary moisture is retained whilst the mask is on and it does not dry out the skin or restrict the movement in the face due to it staying moist. To finish you just rinse the face mask off with warm water. It is advised to use the product once or twice a week.
When I put the face mask on my skin, it makes my skin tingle slightly, but in a way that makes me feel refreshed. Because of the tingling sensation it feels like my face really is being properly cleansed of impurities.
The face mask looks like a off-colour peppermint green type putty, and it smells the same as most tea tree oil products do! The texture is quite thick but it is not gloopy, running or difficult to put on to the face. In fact, compared to a few face masks that I have tried I would say that it is one of the easiest. When it is on the skin it is easy to spread, so only a small amount needs to be used because it seems to go such a long way!
I think that £5.50 is a perfectly reasonable price for a 100ml tub, especially considering that it works so well. Also, it has lasted me well. Since recieving it for Christmas I have used it regulary once or twice a week and there is still three-quarters off the mask left in the pot. It is my favourite face mask!
The main ingrediants in this face mask are: Water, Kaolin, Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Oil and Chromium Hydroxide Green. (The full list of ingrediants can be found on the under-side of the tub, alongside the instructions.)
Thanks for reading. I would definitely reccommend this product to any potential buyers, particularly if they had normal, oily or blemished skin (or all three like me) because it has reduced oily spots, eliminated most blemishes and kept the normal skin normal!! My skin is now refined.
Advantages: Softens, Even Coverage Disadvantages: Green if that counts?
...a body shop fiend. Anyways the card thing is a completely different op but you should get one they’re great! As I was on a rampage through the store with my new little treasure I noticed that the tea tree products were part of a 3 for 2 offer. This appeared too good to miss so I shoved my way through to the stand.
In the past I have never been a lover of tea tree as I’ve had many failures and other products have had bad effects on me and so I’m ... ...off and 3 for 2 the risk factor was not considered at the time of the purchase. Besides with the recent stress of the GCSE exams and a slight addiction to chocolate to keep the stress at bay a nice cluster of spots have began to arise on my chin and they must be ridded of. I was also concerned that with a dancing show coming up next week with very over the top makeup I certainly didn’t want the problem to get any worse so to the tea tree stand it ...

Advantages: Easy to use, lasts a long time, cleanses and purifies your skin. Disadvantages: Looking very ugly with it on & slightly dries out my skin.
...it a try out over the last fortnight in attempt to 'liven' up the look of my skin, but I should accept that it doesn't promise to work miracles!
~ Price ~
As of February 2006 this product is £5.50 per 100ml.
The Body Shop often do 3 for 2 offers in the Tea Tree Oil range so it's often worth waiting for these or if you are lucky enough to live near one of their outlet / discount stores then the reductions there are great!
~ Packaging ~
This is ... ...prefer the tub style of packaging as it means there's absolutely no waste as every last bit can be scraped out! The lid is black with the familiar B.S logo on it along with the name of the product and a rectangular green logo with a 't' and leaves coming out at the top of the 't'.
The main body of the tub is a peppermint colour which matches the colour of the cream. It has directions for use on the side.

Advantages: green - just as a facemask should be, good at calming spots Disadvantages: green!
...op is aimed solely at the girlies: men are allowed to use face packs too, you know. You might not want to admit it to the lads, but if they find one in the back of your bathroom cabinet, just say it’s your girlfriend’s and continue smearing the stuff on in private!
I love facemasks in general – it’s one of my ‘treats’. You know the kind: the stress relieving, relaxing little treats were supposed to give ourselves ... ...not all that good for the waistline, so here’s a nice non-calorific little treat. Well, I’m assuming – I suppose it probably does have a calorie content if you’re mad enough to try eating it. My advice? Stick to slapping it on yer face and eat the chocolate instead.
Where was I? Oh yes, treating yourself. So, we’re agreed that facemasks are a Good Thing in general, especially in the bath – much easier to get the ...

Advantages: banishes redness, lovely clean skin, regulates my skin Disadvantages: could be a bit on the expensive side - credit crunch and all that!
The Story I was on a mission - to rid my skin care regime of harsh chemicals and over drying formulas. I have oily skin prone to blemishes and being a student for too long had I relied on cheap alcohol based cleansers and toners to control my skin. Nothing worked. I stepped it up a notch and used the Neutroginas, Clearasils and Clean and Clears of this world yet still my skin would not relent from its oily ways. I turned to the Bodyshop hoping that ... ...never been let down by the Bodyshop, time and time again they deliver brilliant products yet it was the first time I had ventured to try any of their skincare range. I decided to purchase a face mask from the tea tree range which is specifically designed for oily/blemished skin. I desired a concentrated formula to use once or twice a week on top of my normal skincare routine just to really give my skin a chance to purge all impurities.
The Range
