If you want to get rid of spots without spending loads of dosh, then this is the product for you. I started to use the Body Shop Tea-Tree Oil facial wash about 5 years ago when I was 14 and haven’t looked back since. With all those hormones flying around I decided it was time to do something about the growing number of spots I was getting. After first trying the popular products such as clearasil my mum told me to use Tea Tree Oil.
Although it is not guaranteed to get rid of all your spot and skin problems but is by far the best I have used. There is a technique to using it however, Gently massage it onto your wet face and the rinse off with warm water and I find it better to pat your face dry. I also find it can leave my skin quite dry if I wash too much with it or for too long, but that might just be my skin! I’d recommend twice a day, just after getting up and just before going to bed.
Tea tree oil is suitable for normal, oily and blemish skin and is meant to be very good for removing make-up, but with no experience I cant comment too much on that! The oil will deep cleanse the skin helping to remove any excess oil without leaving the skin dry. The antibacterial contents of the
Aesthetics: The bright green appearance of the oil my put some people off, it reminds me of the alien blood/goo you see in the science fiction films, but don’t be afraid. The smell I find very nice, it is very hard to describe, its very natural and reminds me of trees while you are walking through woods.
Cost: As far as price is concerned it beats any other products by miles, this is mainly due to the amount of time a bottle will last you. It costs £3.79 for a 250ml bottle which will last for a couple of months, but I buy a larger 1000ml bottle that is £13.49, working out cheaper. I suggest you get the 250ml one to start, because you never know if there will be a reaction with it and your skin.
Overall a top product that I wouldn’t have even heard of if it wasn’t for my mum – Hope it works for you.
