I remember loving this as a teenager, my mother HATED it, maybe that has more to do with why I insisted on wearing it?! Yes I was a rebellious teen but have since grown out of that but not my love of this scent.
Ever since I was a teenager I have been a perfume junkie! I like to know I smell nice and worry a lot that I smell, for no real reason I should point out, just my own paranoia. I have always had loads of different bottles of perfumes to chose from, and am often given them at Christmas and for birthdays. Like with my body products I chop and change depending on my mood, where I am going and who I am likely to see (I know some people don't like heavier scents or certain ones give people headaches etc) for example I never wear this when I am off to see my mum.
I like to wear this when I am just at home more than for going out but that is just my personal choice. I find this a very youthful scent, just because I used to wear it at a young age. I can't see why women of any age couldn't wear it.

This is definitely more of a daytime fragrance and wouldn't really be strong enough for evening wear.
I don't find that this lasts all that well so reapplying it would be necessary if you wanted a stronger scent. I only find it lasts about three hours or so at a reasonable level for me.
The Body Shop sells this for £9.00 for the smaller 30ml bottle or £14.00 for the large 60ml bottle. Although they aren't as cheap as some of the perfumes (or should I say EDT's) about they certainly are cheaper than the big brand name perfumes you come across where you are looking at more like £30.00!
The Body Shop do a whole range of products in this scent so you can easily layer the scent to make it last a little longer or you can go for the EDP or perfume oils which are slightly stronger than when in this form. I do recommend this scent but it isn't for everyone, musk is a fragrance that some people really dislike so if you are buying it for someone else be sure they like musk first!The Body Shop is involved with many charities and foundations, information on these can be found through links on their website. None of their products are tested on animals. They also run their own version of fair trade, which they call community trade, they pay fair prices to farmers of the ingredients they buy. THE BODY SHOP WHITE MUSK EAU DE PARFUM
Well, seeing as my most recent ops have a theme to smelling nice, I’ll keep going. I have to admit, I’m terrible for perfume. I’ve got loads of the stuff in loads of different smells. Cheap, Expensive, I’ve got the lot, but smelling nice always adds a nice finishing touch to yourself.
THE PRODUCT
One of my favourite perfumes at the moment is The Body Shop White Musk Eau De Parfum. It is the kind of perfume ... ...dressing table without being over the top. The box it comes in is a lilac colour with the product name on it. The box and perfume is quite dinky, it is 30ml in size but as it is a Eau De Parfum (I will explain a bit more later) it does last a long time because it is really strong.
THE SMELL
The smell of this perfume is really nice. White musk is really hard to describe but it has almost a talcum powder smell but more posh and strong – perfume experts ...

...I always go back to The Body Shop's White Musk. I love the Body Spray and use it every day.
White Musk is a delicate, sensual fragrance and the musk is very subtle and feminine, not at all like any of the men's musk aftershave or deodorants. I do not like fragrances that are strong and overpowering.
As well as the Body Spray I also use White Musk talc and whilst I was in the Bodyshop buying more I noticed a White Musk product that I hadn't seen ... ...it a try. The bath bomb is about the size of a tennis ball and looked a bit like a pumice stone, a sort of mauve grey. It did not smell very strongly of White Musk. I ran the water into the bath and dropped it in, it fizzed up immediately and I could smell the delicious White Musk scent straight away. It turned the water a cloudy mauve grey colour, there were no bubbles. I got into the water and after a few minutes I could feel it softening my skin ...

White Musk Perfum C/O The Body Shop is a fragrance which is rumoured to be a favourite of Victoria Beckham. Now, with all of her posh dosh ~ it HAS to be good! White Musk was originally launched by The Body Shop in 1982 (yes that long ago!) and became The Body Shops best selling fragrance. Ingrediants include vetivert, ylang-ylang & coriander essential oils. It comes in a clear, light consistency & absorbes quite quickly into the skin. ...I don't suit many of the floral feminine fragrances, but the Body Shop's White Musk range is an exception.
I first came across the range a few years ago when I was bought some of the Body Lotion as a gift. The first thing that I noticed was the deliciously light fragrance, not too heavy, but a fresh lingeringly sexy smell. The lotion was very light to rub in, and left no stickyness or residue on the skin, it just glides over it.
One product that ... ...the small size bottle 50ml, and it costs about £2.10. You only need a small amount and although it doesn't make a huge amount of lather, don't be foooled, a little goes a long way and is enough to wash all over. It makes my skin feel so smooth and clean. It also makes the bathroom and the house smell lovely after I've used it.

The Body Shop's "White Musk" Body Lotion is one of the staples in my self-pampering arsenal. I began by using it on it's own, because it's soft, delicate smell complemented the perfume sprays that I tended to wear all the time. It rubbed into my skin beautifully, was absorbed easily and there was no stickiness or greasy residue - important when you have clothes touching your skin , and don't want to ruin the fabric.
Ah, but then I began to experiment, ... ...emulsified without any problems, and the perfume was delicious. People at work commented on it, and even allowing for the higher oil content - it wasn't greasy at all, it soaked into the skin and left no oily residue! Wow!
Since those earlier days, I have experimented more, and now also add other fragrant oils and a few sprays of my perfume into the blend. The soft gentle floral musk smell lasts all day, it's wonderful. Sometimes, I wake up, and ...

WhiteMuskBody Spray has to be one of the most highy evocative sprays around, as instantly identifiable as the likes of Poison, Obsession and Estee Lauders Beautiful. Choose it only if you have an extrovert, bubbily personality. This spray is certainly not for the shrinking violet.
It has a distinctly floral fragrance with a touch of ylang ylang, jasmine and lily - a hint of the oriental. Musk fragrances in the past have received a bad name due to the cruel methods of extraction from animals. The BodyShop thankfully uses a musk substitute and promotes itself as being against animal testing - a sore topic for many people.

really did just fall out with it as it was far too strong for me. I'm not sure if the fragrance was more popular or whether it was stronger but I got literally sick of smelling it and I became a whitemusk fan.
Nowadays of course there are so many fragrances to choose from I am no longer limited and as far as fragrances go I own alot of very expensive ones and I'm not just talking the fragrances but body lotions and shower gels etc as well.
I fell out of love with The BodyShop when it stopped offering me something unique. Yes it had cornered the market for a long time but it doesn't now. If I want fabulous bath and body products I much prefer Lush and the fresh approach, and the promise of no animal testing there either. If I want make up there are loads of brands around that don't test on animals and cost a snip of The BodyShop prices ...

I can't even remember how I came to own this product but that doesn't matter anyway does it. I like The BodyShopsWhiteMusk and when I wear it I tend to use the EDT and body lotion together to prolong the scent as much as possible as it is not the best when it comes to lasting all day. I thought that by wearing this I might be able to get more longevity to my fragrance.
This comes in your average roller ball deodorant packaging, it is white but with a purple sheen to it and purple writing on it. It stands at 11cm tall so is average in size and contains 50ml. This costs £5.00, quite a bit more than most standard deodorants.
Due to it's high cost, I had high hopes!
