2009 Dodge Ram...Light-pick-up of the year

Advantages: Best powertrain warranty, with unlimited mileage.
Disadvantages: takes up 2 car parking spaces !

The car being reviewed here is the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500. First seen in 1981, it was called the RAM after the dodge symbol which adorned Dodge cars since the 1930s. This is it's 4th re-design. Under the bonnet, of this 1500 RAM is housed the next generation of HEMI engine its 5.7L V8 engine giving a whopping 390 horses of power. Around a 50 hp jump from the previous years model. Woah ! Before I get anymore into this engine...let me explain what a HEMI engine is...well a standard V8 has 8 cylinders with a flat top much like a silo, whereas the HEMI features a rounded top so when the internal combustion happens...the explosion in the cylinder is slighter bigger hence consequently more power is generated than from a standard V8. Dodge Journey: a car Mum, Dad & Kids will approve

Advantages: Innovative underfloor storage systems to stow those loose car items.
Disadvantages: The journey's unexciting 3rd row leg-room could be its liability

In a nutshell...the Dodge Journey is a 3rd row Capable vehicle...it has the practicality of a minivan and the capability of a SUV all combined into one. Based on a stretch version of the Dodge Avenger platform. Its about the size of a Chevrolet equinox, 190 inches long and seats up to 7...( 5 plus 2 ) Driving wise it has Electronic Stability Control to guide you through extreme steering manoeuvres. A sports steering & suspension system, provides the Journey with quicker reflexes, than its lesser siblings...And it's a well-mannered ride, with more playfulness and satisfaction than a Grand Caravan.
