Advantages: Occasional nice visuals. Disadvantages: Plot, acting, direction, so dull.
I always make a point to finish every film that I start, no matter how bad it appears to be. It says a lot about Timeline that I was actually willing to turn it off within about thirty minutes of it starting. I didn't, and somehow made it to the end, but I'd have a hard time remembering the last time I saw a film this awful.
Timeline follows a bunch of people who travel back into the past to rescue an archaeologist who has become stuck there. And that's pretty much it unfortunately. Once there they are caught up in some major 14th century battle between the English and French, but by then, no one really cares.
With Richard Donner at the helm, this could have actually worked if pulled off properly. His direction on Superman and the Lethal Weapon films prove that he is a solid, if not outstanding director. Now while some ...

The BritishMuseum is not, as the name might suggest, a museum about Britain, but rather the national museum in Britain. It covers all areas of the world and has artifacts from all periods.
HISTORY:
Originally founded by Sir Hans Sloane who left his vast collection of artifacts to the crown to create a museum. The museum was founded by Act of Parliament in 1753. The building as we see it now was constructed in the 19th century, with the Great Court being added in 2000. The museum now attracts around 5 million visitors a year.
ACCESS:
Although the museum is very central there is no tube specifically for it (there was at one time but this has long since closed). The nearest tubes are Russell Square (Piccadilly line) and Tottenham Court Rd (Central and Northern lines). The no. 7 bus from Oxford St also stops outside ...
Advantages: Huge range of artefacts from all periods, free Disadvantages: Crowded
Whilst down south staying with my parents, my Dad and I decided to visit the BritishMuseum – despite having visited numerous museums throughout Britain, strangely enough this was one place I had never been to. Opened to the public in 1759, today the BritishMuseum has an attendance of over 5 million visitors a year.
Getting there was easy – the Britishmuseum is located in Bloomsbury, in Great Russell Street to be precise, and the nearest tube station is Tottenham Court Road, which can be accessed from both the central and the northern line. It’s then only a couple of minutes walk to the main entrance of the museum, and it is well signposted, so even if you’re hopeless when it comes to navigation, you can’t get too lost! Entrance is free, which is really useful, especially if you have only a short ...
