The Broken God - David Zindell

This was a book that was sent to me by one of these book clubs as the editors choice. I half-heartedly began to read through it, and I was absolutly amazed with the story. It is a story about a neanderthall boy named Danlo who ventures into a bright city of the future called Neverness, where all maner of strange wonders confront him. He develops the desire to become a Star Pilot, and this book telld the tale of the young years of his life.
The characters are very lifelike, and you can't help but to feel sorry for Danlo who goes through a very rough time.
