Big fans of The Sims, hold your breath, because EA games is giving the whole lot to you, all in one go! It's almost hard to believe that you can The Sims Original, Livin' Large, House Party, Hot Date, Vacation, Unleashed, Superstar AND Makin’ Magic all inside one box for prices as low as £19.99 at Argos (amazon.co.uk only offers the Mac version which is from £29). This is one big bargain for a whole lot of fun.
The Sims Complete Collection contains: ------------------------------------------------------- • The Sims Original: The original Sims game that started all the hype about AI and human interaction, all on your PC! Play God to your perfectly (or -imperfectly, if you plan to be a sadist?) created Sim and you build and modify Sims' homes, allow your Sims to be friends with other Sims, choose their way of life with romance and careers, and make their lives as comfortable (or as miserable) as YOU want them to be with the hundreds of objects that is included in the game to keep their skills and charm intact.
• The Sims Livin’ Large: The Sims start to grow, give your Sims more products to choose from and get wilder and more feisty with the new and exciting objects, and also new sim skins to add in the game, including the Love Bed, to totally redecorate your home.
• The Sims House Party: The Sims get so big you have to have the wildest party ever to celebrate it, and House Party does just that. With new party objects for you to add to your Sim's home, it allows your Sim to engage in new group activities, and rock to the best music The Sims has to offer. If your party (sorry) turns out to be a total sleeper, a mime will appear to add some life into your guests. There is also a caterer that you can hire which will help you with the food and drinks. Your Sim's life is never going to be boring.
• The Sims Hot Date: Things hots up for your Sim as even more objects are being added to the game for some big simulation luvvin. From candlelit romance to loving cuddles on the sofa, let your Sims enjoy Downtown delights that is newly added into this expansion, with the new transportation mode of using taxis and take you back and forth on the click of a button on the phone, as their relationships with other Sims (maybe more than one?) heat up almost to boiling point.
• The Sims Vacation: More locations are added out of your home to allow your Sims to visit places such as playing beachball at sunshine beach resorts, sit next to a fireplace or go skiing in the Winter Cottage, or rough it out in the nearby Woods. You can also buy souvenirs and send postcards from holiday.
• The Sims Unleashed: Sims going full on as pets are getting added, adopt pets such as cats, dogs, lizards and many more to your household and teach them tricks to win prizes at the pet contest downtown. Do your best to keep your pet as obedient as possible if you don't want to keep having to replace chewed furniture. Farming is also available as a separate career in this expansion if you don't want to carry on with the old 5 traditional careers. This expansion is probably also useful for those that are considering adopting a pet in real life. =)
• The Sims Superstar: Live the dream you always wanted to right in front of you on your PC! The newly added Studio Town will allow you to live the lives of the rich and famous and help your Sims to stardom, as more new items are being added that can be added to your new home. New superstar careers includes movie stars, opera singers, rockers and supermodels are added to ensure that your Sim will get all the paparazzi and fans loving as you would like in real life.
• The Sims Makin’ Magic: Potter gone Simlish? Reach into the paranormal and allow your Sim to cast spells, hypnotize their friends, and do other crazy things such as turning your neighbour into a frog and much more. But be careful, as usual, your Sims need the skills to do the right spell that they want, so some spells go wrong then it might be froggy time in a boiling pot for you. Your sim will also get the opportunity to bake pies (mmmm) and make nectar by growing fruit. A newly added Magic town can also provide your Sim with all the objects you need to become the perfect wizard / witch. Roller-coasters and mini-golf? Hell yeah! Anything to attract more crowds I say!
Gameplay: The annoying problem is that EA games haven't improved on the pathfinding; you may not experience any problems if your household was rather large or does not have a lot of clutter around, but if you are those that tend to do that, your Sim will have problems from navigating from Point X to Y, and all they will do is wave arms at you and have a speech bubble at the top to show there is something in the way (the picture is usually a wall flashing red) just because there is a little bit of a chair in the grid. After that complaint, your Sim will just tend to forget all the commands that you have readily instructed it to do. But apart from that, with so much going on all in one, The Sims Complete Collection will let you experiment with new objects to the end, so don't expect to go out very often once you begin 'myshuno' (a game in Simlish ;])
Technical: It is disappointing that EA games haven't improved on the bugs known from the start or on the camera handling; the in-game camera can still be sluggish, and the pacing is still erratic as ever, so you may find yourself using the pause and fast forward buttons a lot once you begin just to make sure your Sim is doing what it had been instructed to do.
Graphic / Sound: The graphic engine is obviously showing signs of age compared with the newer and better engines that other newer games might offer; the original Sims 1 games are still in the 2D age, but the expressions on Sims faces and the use of Simlish will still be a joy for many.
This is a highly recommended package for those that have not played Sims before, believe me, once you start playing, you might even join those that are addicted to this Classic already.

The sims is one of the most commonly played computer games in the world, and without a doubt one of my favourites. In my list of the top computer games, this is without a shadow of a doubt second place. It contains the sims, the sims on holiday, the sims hot date, the sims house party, the sims superstar, the sims making magic, the sims unleashed and the sims livin' it up. I am going to go into detail about the riginal, and then explain each of the ... ...on, and make them successful. The gameplay is extraordinarily easy and the game is very much pick up and play. When creating sims you can chose gender, child or adult, skin tone, clothing and personalities. Every sim is unique and also has a star sign, dependant upon the personality you give it. There are three modes in the sims, each allowing you to d different things...

Advantages: Contains All Seven Original Expansion Packs Disadvantages: Nothing
The Sims is a strategic life-simulation computer game distributed by Electronic Arts. It is a simulation of the daily activities of one or more virtual persons in a suburban household near SimCity.
At first it's complicated to understand what they need, but the mood bars tell you everything. Time is a big issue when it comes to controlling the sim, they have to build relationships which alone takes the amount of time in which they could shower, ... ...a key component, but the sound overshadows this, the sims speak a gibberrish called simlish which is actually quite catchy. Overall, the game is unique, so simple to understand, so easy to play and very enjoyable. Who hasn't wanted to be a superstar, own a mansion and live the life a luxury. In the sims you can live the life you choose! ...

Advantages: Timeless collection for a great price Disadvantages: Some bugs still to be corrected
...a complete collection of all the original Sims titles for a good price too. This gave me the chance to try those expansions that I didn't manage to play back then. I suppose that most of the people reading reviews for this product already tried or at least know what the Sims is about so I'll just proceed to say the good and the bad of this collection. First of all the game could become very addictive for many people. If you don't already know all ... ...to learn all the new functions but that's part of the fun too (for example I didn't know about the addition of the magical world and it was fun to discover the new actions related). A very good thing is that it can all be installed at once while previously you had to install each expansion singularly. The only bad and annoying thing of this collection is that it still has many (and some serious) bugs. I hope they will release soon a patch or something ...

Advantages: True bargain, classic title. Disadvantages: Original bugs have not been fixed for the collection
I remember when the entire set cost me over a hundred and sixty (160) pounds, even then it was great value for money. Now this complete collection is available at a bargain price of around twenty (20) pounds. That's 1/8th of the original price.
For those of you who are unfamiliar to the sims series, it can only be compared to creating your own world. You are able to create people, and their houses, and then run their lives for better or worse, the ... ...user-made objects to massively extend the number of objects available to decorate your simmies' houses with.
The set contains:
The Sims
Livin' Large
House Party
Hot Date
Vacation
Unleashed
Superstar (my personal favorite)
Makin' Magic Although it is arguably graphically inferior to 'The Sims 2', the gameplay is timeless, and it's far better suited for slower computers.
The required specifications are as follows:

Advantages: Great value for money, 7 expansion packs included! Disadvantages: So much choice it's easy to spend hours on this game!
The sims complete collection comprimises of the origional sims game and seven of the expansion packs! (Livin it large, Hot date, House part, Vacation, Unleashed, Superstar, Makin magic and a creator tool to customize your sims!) This is a brilliant buy (£19.99 from argos!) but beware, it's easily addictive! If you are new to the sims all of the expansion packs can seem a little overwhelming but with easy to follow tutorials it's easy enough to pick ... ...sims from scratch, everything from the colour hair to thier zodiac sign and it dosen't stop there! Everything from how you build your home to how you decorate to even what objects you decide to place inside is down to you!
The main objective is keeping your sims happy by making sure they eat, sleep and interact with other sims, they could also fall in love and have a family! all round great entertainment!

Advantages: The game leaves the player wanting more. Disadvantages: NONE
After the thrill and excitement of the first Sims game on Playstation2, PC and The CompleteSimsCollection came The Sims 2 and the publicity and buzz was back again.
The Sims 2 life simulation game was first released as a Windows pc game on September 17, 2004 and priced around £40 or less which was quite expensive for me anyway. However now the prices range from as cheap as £20 and you can get it on different platforms such as playstation2, Playstation portable, Game-boy etc.
From my own experiences, I cannot get enough of Sims I have been a fan since the first ever Sims was released in February 23rd 2000 and won The Game of the Year but this one is different, better than the first one, and much more enjoyable. Basically, The Sims 2 is a life simulation game where you can create a person (Sim) such as make how they look and what ...

Advantages: great graphics, more options, Disadvantages: won't work on all pcs,
Yes I know it's been out for quite some time but it was all completely brand new to me when I got it as a christmas present this year. It wasn't completely random, I have had the old SimsPC games somewhere in the back of a drawer somewhere, collecting dust because I had more important things to do than spend hours controlling a little person. And now I find out that they'll be bringing out a Sims 3 soon, which is just all very typical. But at least maybe the price of other expansion packs might decrease.
It is very simple to set up with only 2 discs. One of them is something you can watch so in fact it's just the one that you have to contend with. Just stick it into your drive and away you go with the usual 'next', 'yes' and 'finish.'
On some computers it will not work properly, despite having a Windows XP my gamecard could ...
