    After the disappointing postponement of the January date, I was perhaps a little more eager than normal to see the Corrs play at Sheffield's Arena (April 1st 2001). It was the first time that I'd been to this particular venue, and I'd recommend it as it's very easy to get to - as it's on the Supertram route and there's no expensive parking fee to worry about. On arrival, I joined a queue of excited fans that snaked around the building. Fortunately, we weren't left outside for long and soon I found my way to my seat.     The Corrs kicked off a four night stint at the NEC in Birmingham this week. We went to see them on the first of those nights. Traditionally bands that do multi-night concerts at one arena are often a little rusty & weak on the first night, but I have to say this was not the case with The Corrs Tuesday night. The Dundalk family of five hit our consciousness about 5 years ago as a rather prissy & nicely packaged poppette band that fitted nicely with today's bland boy/girl bands.     To all girls looking for a present for your boyfriend, take him to see the Corrs! My friend and I were looking for a Christmas pressie for our boyfriends which would be really special. Ideally we wanted to take them somewhere we'd all enjoy, and this was the perfect choice. We went out to a posh restaurant for lunch, then to see the Corrs in the evening. The concert was absolutely fantastic, the band are amazing live, a great performance which kept Kate and I happy, and both of the guys were in their element- great music and they got to oggle at the Corrs girls!
