The Da Vinci Code roles everything into one with combat, puzzles to solve, stealth to pull off and more.

TRUTH TO MOVIE
The game generally follows the storyline of the movie, there is some extra events added that could not have happened in the movie but the plot of the game and film are similar is most aspects.
4/5

COMBAT SYSTEM
The combat system is very basic and uses a system of controls that would be more suited to a dance game (press the right button as it appears on the screen). I think that it is obvious that this game was not designed with the combat system in mind and that it was just a necessity.
2/5
NON-COMBAT GAMPLAY
This is where this game excels, there are puzzles to solve which are quite complicated, you have to sneak past enemies and make tactical decisions about who to fight and who to avoid as well as which path to take.
5/5

GRAPHICS
I was actually quite impressed with this games graphics, the characters look realistic and move realisticly. Furthermore, the locations look like they do in real life and the paintings in the first level actually look like the real things.
5/5

SOUND
The games soundtrack was pretty good, each of the characters sounded believable and as they did in the movie. There were fitting sound effects for every action and the subtle sound effects used during puzzles made you feel as if you were actually solving them. Music was also used when it was needed and each piece always fitted the scene.
5/5

DIFFICULTY AND COMPLEXITY
Combat in this game was a little bit easy, as i have said the combat system wasn't much of one. But what made this game difficult was that practically everything was a puzzle. There were so many puzzles and riddles to solve and each fitted into the respective level beautifully making each level one big puzzle.
4/5
BONUSES AND OTHER FEATURES
The game did have alot of bonuses at the end. There were new versions of each puzzle type used during the game to solve when you have completed the game. These puzzles fit into a bonus level which allows you to re-explore the first level minus all the people trying to catch you. Unfortunately, there is no co-op mode available and the game is only one player.
4/5

LONGEVITY
Due to the difficulty of each level and the puzzles involved, as well as the bonus puzzles at the end, unless you use a walkthrough, which I dont recommend or the game will be no fun, this game will take you a long time to finish.
5/5

VALUE FOR MONEY
Due to the longevity and difficulty of the game and the general fun you will have trying to finish it. This game is definatly good value for money.
5/5

STORYLINE
The game sticks to the movies storyline with the exception of a few extra levels and works one level after the other with no real choice as to where to go so the storyline is a little bit linear, but this is diminished by the fact you have two playable characters which allows it to jump around and backtrack somewhat.
3/5

SUMMARY
A great game for those into adventure games and puzzle solving. If you are more of an action/combat person, i wouldn't recommed it.
