The Disney Store 146 The Harlequin Centre High Street Watford (01923) 223399
Like a lot of major shopping centres across the country, the Harlequin centre has a Disney store. These stores are aimed towards all ages. Disney has a brand image of magic, and this is somehow felt when you enter this Watford based store. At the shops entrance you are greeted with a cheery smiled and beckoned in.
As in most Disney stores around the country, a huge mountain of stuffed, Disney characters greets you and your eyes stare in amazement at the large TV screen, showing cartoons and previous Disney movies.
The store also stocks a large range of clothing from adults and kids nightwear, to casual tops and even fancy dress costumes, of your favourite Disney characters. They also sell a range of merchandise such as pencil cases and figures, specific to the latest Disney releases like Toy Story 2.
The range and quality of products is great for kids and also adults to enjoy. But prices are extremely high. T-Shirts with logos cost about £27 and stuffed animals are around £25 for a medium sized toy. Also the origin of these products could also leave customers in two minds whether to buy the goods. Mainly due to the fact a high proportion of Disney clothing is made in foreign sweatshops by young children. A nice store, but not for those of high moral standards, or with a low budget.
