Advantages: Great Graphics And Sound Disadvantages: Not HD
The Playstation 2 is a great product and when it first came out it really was a revolution to the gaming world. Enhance graphics from the PS really did open everyone eyes and made everyone take note of Sony's capabilities.
Reviewing this now is different to when it first came out because I own the PS3 and will slip into the habit of comparing it to that but will try my best not too.
The PS2 system is a small and compact and really does work to a high performance. All the time that I owned a PS2 it never overheated once and always worked to a high level. The graphics on the console are superb and have a real crisp look.
The console is so good value for money as you can now pick up a console two controllers and a few games all for under £100. Superb!
This is a real good console and to those who feel the PS3 is not worth the money ...
Just Cause is an exciting action game for the Playstation 2 which is like another GTA based game and is developed by Eidos.
In the game you are the excellent character Rico Rodriguez who is sent to San Esperito Island and your job is to get rid of the evil dictator called Salvador Mendoza which allows you to have some fun on the missions!
There is also a massive free roaming element to this game as you can explore the massive island. I mean massive! You can take some nice cars from some of the civilians or parachute off a cliff! You can also fly helicopters, kill people, annoy the Agency and the police, and just have fun! I like the fact there are so many vehicles whether on car, in the air or even in the water on boat (yes there are boats!) In these vehicles Rico can also pull off some cool stunts like parachuting, hanging near ...

By all accounts Rock and Roll should have been finished by 1959, and the Playstation 2 should have be a ?dead? platform by 2005 ?but somehow, both refuse to die.
We still listen to a surprising amount of four chord sixteen bar riffs, and the PS2 continues to be the highest volume games console of all time.
Guitar Hero III ?Legends of Rock? masterfully exploits both anomolies.
Guitar Hero is available on a number of formats ? including Nintendo DS, Xbox, PC and PS3 HOWEVER the humble PS2 is still in the frame and capable of providing if not endless hours of entertainment, at the very least, a distraction during a wet Bank Holiday weekend.
It?s entirely possible to play the PS2 version using the standard controller ? although it isn?t that much fun.
