Advantages Advantages Adventure never ends, amazing customisation

Disadvantages Disadvantages Glitches and bugs are present

I am injured. The snowy wastes of the north lands offer no rest nor peace for me as I stagger to my feet, trying to focus on the moonlit road ahead. My wounds sting from the bitter winds that thrash against my body, and my vision is blurred from red snow. Around me lay a dozen bodies of men and women in leather garb, bandits of a nearby camp. My travel companion, the great warrior maiden lays dead amongst their numbers, her bow embedded into the skull of one of our attackers before she fell. Their blood appears an inky black in the moonlight, their faces petrified into states of shock from the ... more

Advantages Advantages Great story, beautiful graphics, improved combat and voice acting, and of course. Dragons!

Disadvantages Disadvantages PC Specifications must be high, otherwise bugs appear frequently.

For as long as I can remember Bethesda has been one of my favourite game developers of all time. From the 1st game of the series (The Elder Scrolls Arena) to Skyrim, the latest of Bethesda's fantastic products. The game set in the fictional province of Skyrim, has once again wowed audiences such as myself, with the beauty of the game. We have seen in previous games developed by Bethesda, such as Fallout 3 and New Vegas, that the use of the Havok Engine has made the open world that much better, through the use of particles and its dynamic animation. This in my opinion is one of the reasons ... more

Advantages Advantages Skyrim holds at least 400 hours of gameplay, if you fast travel from place to place.

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bug in the game that makes the light extremely dim which makes it hard to beat puzzles.

Skyrim is a very good game, one of the greatest releases I have seen in years. The vast world of Skyrim and the ability to free roam and do whatever it is you seem fit makes it extremely addictive. The free roam style of Skyrim allows the players to run around and do whatever they like, including choosing between some of the 400+ hours of quests and gameplay put into the game. From assassinations to saving a town from dragons, in my opinion, Skyrim has one of the greatest gameplay style I've ever seen. The many different skills that can be focused on in Skyrim allow you to either focus on a ... more

Advantages Advantages Stunning game. Very fun to play

Disadvantages Disadvantages Very linear. Not replayable

Skyrim is the fifth game in the series. If you have started like me at Morrowind, then you have come to expect an open world, with loads of choices and actions that influence out comes. Unfortunately, Skyrim does not have this. Often dialogue options lead you to a desired outcome and lets you not pick the option you want. This makes the game feel a lot less interactive.Skyrim is an Open RolePlaying game for the PC and Xbox. You can purchase it on Amazon, Game and most other retailers, however if you are a computer user, you can also just purchase it straight from Steam. This means you wont get ... more

Advantages Advantages An immersive elder scrolls experience

Disadvantages Disadvantages Slightly buggy at times, about 100 hours playtime before boredom

This game is very well put together. Although slightly buggy in areas, the campaign is long, and side quests are ridiculously abundant. I'm not going to say too much about the campaign, as it is the kind of game where spoilers do ruin it, but the opening scene is masterful. The game opens to a cart, where you are being transported to the town of Helgen for your execution. This scene explains the climate very well, a civil war rages across the land, the archaic Thalmor are restricting the religion of the Nords, and dragons are returning. You do not know as yet your role in this but soon will ... more
