Advantages An entertaining fantasy 8th book in series
Disadvantages not everybody will like it

A cat's got to do what a cat's got to do. The final book in this series, so far. The synopsis: The young female wizard Balkis has turned out to be a niece of Prester John. The fabulously wealthy Priest-King of an Eastern Kingdom. She did not grow up in the court and is a little homesick for Merovece and the son and heir is not overjoyed with his new cousin. Also the barbarians who were recently defeated are still a threat, as is something else. A plot to kidnap Balkis and transport her very far away with the help of some ambitious courtiers and a barbarian shaman is foiled by Balkis's own ... more
