The story is centred around Mitch McDeere and his wife Abbey. Mitch is fresh out of law school and finished 3rd in his class at Harvard Law School. All the top law firms are ...

Advantages: Pacey thriller Disadvantages: adapted into an awful film
The Firm is the book that really brought Grisham into the spotlight and it is not hard to see why. The master of the legal thriller, Grisham has such a love for his subject which supported by gripping storylines and believeable characters creates the basis for some of the best literary works around.
The firm is no exception, it is beautifully written, it is at times very fast and intense yet does not seem rushed. The characters are also given time ... ...the setting.

This was the first John Grisham book I bought and is my favourite out of the eleven he has wrote. Based around a poor law student called Mitch McDeere who is struggling to make ends meet whilst finishing his law degree. He is given what he thinks is the chance of a lifetime at a prestigious law firm in memphis, which is actually a firm linked to the Chicago mafia. Mitch and his wife Abigail move to a new house, have a new mercedes car, a six figure ... ...the Firm is watching them! The action is none stop and a great paced thriller which is one of those unputdownable books, which you want to keep turning over the next page. The main characters blend well around McDeere especially his brother Ray and the FBI agents. I would definately recommend this book to anyone who likes a fast paced thriller with lots of twists and turns and an unexpected ending. ...
