Advantages: It's simple and informative Disadvantages: It's not news
The key rules in this diet are to eat lots of proteins, avoid sugar like the plague, and control portion sizes. Which is supposed to make dieting fun and easy?
Each meal has a percentage of the foods which you can include in it.
For breakfast you can have 40% protein, 30 per cent slow burning carbohydrates, and 30 per cent fruit.
Lunch: 40 per cent protein, 40 per cent vegetables and 20 per cent carbs
... ...it advises many substitutes for the meat protein such as seeds etc.
The book is clearly presented and good pictures of the grub which is very appealing..(If only the pictures were edible.. that would be cool!)
It's also not a very demanding committed diet because you can stick to it 80% of the time you get a break, so if you really crap at keeping to diets this book really helps the pressure a lot.

For breakfast you can have 40% protein, 30 per cent slow burning carbohydrates, and 30 per cent fruit. Lunch: 40 per cent protein, 40 per cent vegetables and 20 per cent carbs Dinner around 40% protein and 60 per cent vegetables.

It's also not a very demanding committed diet because you can stick to it 80% of the time you get a break, so if you really crap at keeping to diets this book really helps the pressure a lot. Bad Points
Some bad points in the book are that it's a bit simple in places and information about sugar and insulin are a bit vague. Also if you are a rather fit person or consume a lot of energy, there are not many carbs included, which makes it difficult to keep your energy up.
This is an effective diet and it's a little bit of a combination with the Atkins and 'You are what you eat."
Good Points
It's a sensible solution to loosing weight and very safe. I only did the diet for a while and it's easy to stick to. I lost 6 lbs in two weeks. But it's not just a diet; it's also quite healthy and packed full of great ideas.
I found that this book was not too original, but I have read hundreds of books so It may be a groundbreaker for a less experienced dieter.
Advantages: QUICK RESULTS & EASY TO FOLLOW Disadvantages: NEED TO BUY MORE UNUSUAL FOOD TO MAKE RECIPES
...enjoying and looking forward to the meal ideas. Key points are to have the all the ingredients which you may have to buy from a health food shop, for instance buckwheat noodles, avocado oil and gluten free flour. But this is really easy with his ultimate shopping list. Overall this is a fantastic book with great recipes that anyone can make, you don't have to be a fab cook and most of them take less than 30 minutes to prepare. There are also some ...

Advantages: Easy to follow book and recipes Disadvantages: Some foods can be a little expensive ie asparagus, fresh ginger.
...on this eating plan. The great thing is the 80-20 rule. You stick to the plan for 80% of the time and you can go a bit mad the other 20% of the time. I had a couple of nights out, drank wine, had a meal out etc during the 6 weeks and I still lost weight. I think it helps if you like the food, it is very healthy, fresh veg, lentils (didn't even know I liked lentils till now!), chick peas etc. But there are some meat based recipes included in the book. ... ...weightwatchers before and did get to my goal weight but I found this diet wasn't working for me anymore so I switched to this one and have been really pleased with the results. I would recommend. If nothing else, you eat healthily and that can't be a bad thing. ...
