Advantages: Keeps you up to date, good presenters, fun Disadvantages: Seems to be a lot of adverts?
The Gadget Show is one of my favourite shows now and after a long boring Monday having to start a new week I look forward to watching the programme. It is definitely my favourite programme on Channel 5 (not hard really!)
The show is about new gadgets and technology and is very interesting as there is nearly some new, innovative piece of technology and this show helps you keep up to date and it also shows older technology. The stuff ... ...others!
The show started in 2004 with the original presenters being Jason Bradbury, Suzie Perry and John Bentley (who is a bit weird!) The show is on Five on Mondays normally at eight pm but is also repeated on other channels. Recently Dallas Campbell joined but has now disappeared without mention and another new presenter is Otis. The show is about new gadgets and technology and is very interesting as there is nearly some new, innovative piece of technology and this show helps you keep up to date and it also shows older technology. The stuff they look at includes things like games consoles, cameras, vacuum cleaners, phones, remote control cars, music players, TVs, robots, ebooks, photo frames, lawnmowers, toasters and many others!

I like the presenters of the show and Jason and Suzie get on well. John Bentley however is a little bit weird and he seems to appear less than some of the others.
The show reviews gadgets which is really handy because over time they have probably reviewed the best types of all technology to help you choose and make buying decisions easier. Each week they pick a category e.g. netbooks and they get someone who uses them often who is reasonably famous to help them choose which one they think is the best and they give them all ratings and explain what is good or bad.
Another interesting part of the show is the challenge where they test gadgets to the extreme and are generally great and they go over the top but it is fun to watch!
A relatively new feature is the Wall of Fame where Jason and Otis try and convince John which gadget out of two is the best and usually has a modern option like the Nintendo Ds and the original Nintendo handheld game machine which is interesting to watch and reminds you of older technology.
Overall this is a brilliant show and definitely my favourite from Channel Five (not that there is much competition) and is one of my favourite shows on TV. It is good whether you know lots about gadgets or not and is a good watch as well. It keeps you up to date with all the latest tech and some of the things shown are amazing. The show does seem to feature lots of adverts however I don`t really care as it is a brilliant show and I fast forward them anyway! Simply put an enjoyable and fun technology show which I think most people would enjoy.
5/5 Brilliant technology show which most people would enjoy!

Advantages: Pause live TV, Record multiple Programs, Series link Disadvantages: Skiping when watching five
At first we were slightly hesitant after our last experience with the customer service at sky but we decided to give it a try. The installation was easy because all the "guy" had to do was attach it to our existing satellite dish.
We set up the box to record the whole series' of our favourite shows, just by pressing a few buttons. The hard drive isn't too large but it is still holds enough for the average family. If the space isn't enough sky say that the hard drives are upgradable.
The user interface is really easy to use, anyone can use it. The only time we have had a problem is when I record the gadgetshow on five, it is always jumping back 10 minutes when you try to fast forward the adds.
Overall it is a must have product of the 21st century. In a few years everyone will have something like this in their home. I don't think I ...

! I have used this for Top Gear, X factor, The GadgetShow, The Apprentice and much more and it could be used so you never miss a soap episode!
Overall the box is great and provides me the ultimate TV with hundreds of channels (admittedly almost all are rubbish!) and allows me to record programmes with ease, pause and fast forward through adverts making TV more enjoyable!
5/5 Excellent!

Advantages: A science magazine style show again! wooo! Disadvantages: It tries to be cool. Science isn't cool, so stop pretending it can be.
- unusually named ex gadgetshow (Channel 5) presenter.
Yan Wong - a genius but kept hidden away for most of the time incase the vapidity of the other presenters shows too much.
What other shows is it like?
It's a bit like The Real Hustle, but about science. It's a bit like Top Gear, but no audience. It's a bit like Tomorrow's World, but unfortunately not as serious. It's a bit like Egg Heads but with a bit more smugness.
Endurance factors
This show is only half an hour long and it does have plenty of interesting new sciency things to discuss, so it's quite good. However it does go on and on about some things well beyond the point where you've understood them. Each program seems to run on a theme, such as friction - where they'll talk about friction in nearly every article. It's not as cutting edge and news worthy as Tomorrow ...
