'Goodbye Jimmy Choo' by Annie Sanders

Advantages: very entertaining book
Disadvantages: none

'Town or country, we all have a right to Choos?' It's a Sunday afternoon. It's pouring with rain outside. The kids are at Grandma's for the night. I put the heating on, get my cup of tea and biscuits and settle down with a blanket on the sofa with this book?.bliss?. Well we can all daydream can't we! 'Goodbye Jimmy Choo' was the first book which I read by Annie Sander [Annie Sanders is actually two people, Annie Ashworth and Meg Sanders] and I am a big fan. 'Goodbye Jimmy Choo' is the story of an unlikely friendship which develops being two women, Maddy and Izzie. Maddy is a very glamorous mother of three with a beautiful house in the country, loving husband and live-in Nanny. She's used to the good life and being supported by her husband, but how will she cope when tragedy strikes and she has to cope on her own? Izzie ...

If I Were a Grown Up.............

Advantages: Simple text with bold colourful illustrations.
Disadvantages: Care needed with small children as it could easily be ripped and spoilt.

lions and the ballet dancer becomes under water and the vet pictured with a cat and dog changes to a monster. This book is very cleverly thought out. The text is very simple and features on the left hand side. The words ? If I were a grown up I would like to be a ???? are featured with each drawing on the left hand side so there is a lot of repetition for youngsters to learn and recognise. The book finishes with the six occupations with the question ? What would you like to be?" My grandchildren enjoy reading this book my granddaughter who is 3 years old knows the words by heart but I have to watch my grandson with the book as he rather clumsily turns the pages and has in the past ripped pages and I think with one of the pages being smaller than the others he would struggle to turn it and miss it out altogether - either that or he would ...

GAP YEAR - Working in Australia

Advantages: You get to work in and see another country
Disadvantages: It can be stressful

GAP YEAR Temping Work - In Australia Working abroad is definitely a challenge, well to me it has been. I decided to take a gap year and come over here to work for a year. I had just entered a new country, got an apartment so the next obvious step was to look for work. I went to recruitment agencies (see review for more detail) to help me find work in such a big city. First place I arrived was Sydney the most popular and well known city in Australia. I had already applied for a working holiday visa at home which meant I was entitled to work in the country legally. You need to have a visa which entitles you to work. Next step was to get a tax file number, without this you will not be given a job as you need it for tax purposes. This can be done online. Now all the paperwork has been done you I needed to open a bank ...
