As an avid Laymon fan (I own over 30 of his books) I was a little disappointed with this book.
It's certainly not a terrible book and I did still enjoy reading it but I don't think it's a Laymon classic. At times it does feel a little like the story lacks direction, and some random encounters (Didi being an example) which I felt didn't really add to the story.
It is still a very fun read, and I won't spoil the story too much at all but it has all the gore that you come to expect from one of Laymon's books, particularly the diners "soylent" menu.
As always, the erotic elements are ever present although perhaps a little too much details when it comes to the character "Boots".
Have a read, I would definitely recommend it, but don't expect the sort of pace you would get from "Endless Night" or "No Sanctuary"
