The Godfather welcomes you to the family.

Advantages: Characters details, voice acting and fun gameplay.
Disadvantages: Short storyline, Can get repetitive and can be very hard at times.

...---------------------------------------------------------------
== HISTORY==
The Godfather was a film released in 1978 that stared some great actors like James Caan and Robert Duvall which all did voice overs for their characters in this game. Electronic Arts being one of the biggest video game developers and publishers got the license to make the game and started the project in 2004. Unfortunately Marlon Brando died later that year ...
...use another actor to do the rest of the voice over although you do not notice a difference. Many films to games have turned out to be very bad and have only sold really to do with the license and its fans of the film, so please read on and see if this is another one of those or a rare moment where the game shines as brightly along side its films counterpart.

The story follows closely to the film's plot, letting you ... more

EA continues to put out popular franchises like 'Need For Speed' and 'Burnout' from its studios in Canada, Orlando, Redwood City, Tokyo, Chicago, and Los Angeles, as well as other locations around the world. -(The Story)- The game starts with you as a young boy as you watch your dad being murdered by mobsters. Although the game has a new character, the game sticks quite closely to the film and does have some of the scenes from the film and has most of the original characters from the film. Though the game sticks closely to the films, you don't have to have watched the film to understand the story which means the game is available for ...

An Offer You Can't Refuse!!!!

Advantages: Great Game Play
Disadvantages: Repetative At Times

...boy into Gamestation I chose The Godfather in the hope that it would give me just as much enjoyment as the film did all those years ago and I must say I was not let down by this game title at all. If I was to compare this title to another game then I would have to say it is a much more structured version of Grand Theft Auto as the storyline is much easier to follow and the game play is just as violent and destructive. On a down note I would defiantly ...
...missions. Game Play The game play is very easy to follow you can free walk and drive as well as hijacking various vehicles and buying up new and more powerful weapons as the game progresses my favourite would have to be the Derringer machine gun. The cut scenes are very good at various stages of the game and explain the story very well; these are very much the same as Grand Theft Auto but with the film in mind. Your mission is to become the Don ...

Back to basics

Advantages: You are free to roam around
Disadvantages: Not too difficult

I found the game to be similar to \'Grand Theft Auto (GTA)\' as you go around stealing cars, and following orders to move through the game. In \'The Godfather\' you have to go to business and extort them. You are part of the Corleone family and there are 4 other rival families. It is set in New York, with 5 parts to it: Brooklyn, Little Italy, New Jersey, Midtown and Hell\'s Kitchen. You have the chance to use different weapons and you are given ...
...Underboss. when you finally complete the game, you become Don of NYC. The game is enjoyable to play, but it feels repeatative as you go to business which are similar to one another exploiting the owners and taking control of the business, which was before owned by a rival family. I didn't find the game to be too challenging as I managed to complete it within 3 days. The tasks were all a similar level of difficulty and unlike most games, didn\'t get ...

...obvious choices such as the GTA series, and other such titles, but i do beleive that 'The Godfather' will firmly cement it's self in the hall of fame of playstation 2 gaming. Using a revolutionary new system, the 'Blackhand' , you are free to judge yourself how hard to hit enemies. This is a useful system, as in this game you have to extort businesses to earn money. By puling the analogue stick back, you therefore pull your hand back, and scare the ...

A beatufiul addition to the game is the 'Htman' missions. Using these missions breaks up the story gameplay greatly, offering bonuses if the target is killed according to the contract.. You can also take control of rival family headquarters and ...

The Godfather comes to the Playstation 2

Advantages: Lovers of GTA Games will love this
Disadvantages: None

...come a few years down the line. If your a fan of the Grand Theft Auto games then you are going to enjoy this, if your a fan of The Godfather Part One then this game should be quite interesting to play because this game has alot of aspects of the movie bult in. You start the game as a basic thug who has been taken on by the Corleone family as a favour to your Mother who has asked the Don (Marlon Brando) to look after her son wo has gone off the rails ...

The Godfather II PS3

Advantages: +Strategy side of it is fun +Entertaining game
Disadvantages: -Quite Easy

Background The game starts off in Cuba, you meet characters from the movie such as Roth, Michael and Fredo Corleone and also Aldo, the first game's main character. eventually a web of deceit and betrayal unfolds and you have to defeat other families. This unfolds over three areas, New York, Florida and Cuba. you start off able to access all of New York, but have to unlock Florida and then Cuba. The game roughly follows the storyline of the 2nd movie yet it disregards Vito's early life, this is quite a good move in my opinion as it allows all the game to be set in one time and allows a fluent storyline to be established. Presentation and gameplay The graphics aren't bad, they aren't anything special but they aren't bad. The characters are recognisable (Pacino's face isn't used for the character of Michael, yet the others bear ...

Review of The Godfather II (PS3)

Its business not personal

Advantages: A good strategy and actione game rolled into one
Disadvantages: Maybe a little too easy and main character not mobile enough

Godfather II is loosely based around the Godfather trilogy including characters from the film, related storylines and just about enough violence, gumbas and vintage cars to keep you entertained! PLOT - The story is based around your character Dominic who has been promoted up through the ranks from the last game to position of boss to look after the Corleone family. Michael Corleone makes an appearance as your advisor as his character is having to lay low due to the interference from the law, as in the second film. Your job is to take over other families both in america and abroad and grow your family into a notorious and dangerous set of individuals intent on taking over multiple crime rings such as money laundering rings, drug rings and prostitution rackets without being don over! Get it!? CHARACTERS - You play Dominic ...

Review of The Godfather II (PS3)

It's only business

Advantages: Good Maps, Don's View
Disadvantages: Too Short; Very few 'missions', Player is unable to jump

The Godfather 2 can not be described in any genre. It has obvious RPG/Adventure elements in that it's free-roaming however with no mission strands and a fairly small map it can't quite be defined as that. Due to the Don's View it may be thought of as a strategic game? This again is not quite right as Strategy does not take up quite enough of the gameplay. The game could be defined as a shooter? It has shooting elements but again not quite enough to be defined as one. The game starts off in Cuba with a man named Aldo Trapani, the prequel's protagonist and your character alongside several Don's and an entrepreneur style figure named Hyman Roth. The 'party' is crashed and you start an escape. This mission is one of only a few in the game. This is without a doubt one of the flaws of the Godfather 2. There is too much 'take over this ...
