WHAT IS THE GREEN ROOM
Green Room is owned by body shop. Uses only body shop products, upholds and promotes body shop values. It is not a big (proper) spa. It is rather a sort of beauty clinic. You come get your treatments and leave. So again it is not a day spa resort.

I went to the Richmond branch.
I have to say it is very well hidden. There is a sign just above the Body shop, that reads Green Room, but I had to ask a body shop person for directions.
It turned out that the little door inside the body shop was a secret passageway to a staircase to heaven (aka the Green Room). There was no sign on the door or anything like that, you could think it was a staff only door or something. ... more
I have been good! Really really good. Didn't overindulge over Christmas, did sit-ups almost every day, ate tons of fruit and veg. And most of all studied and worked real hard!!! Yes, I am truly perfect. For that I decided to reward myself. And most certainly there is no better way to reward oneself than a beauty treatment.

Well it was literally 3 shops away from the place where I work, so I could just pop in before or after work. The rest of you might not be so fortunate of course. There is a total of 11 branches: Bath, Brighton, Covent Garden, Hammersmith, Kensington, Manchester, Portobello, Putney, Richmond and Victoria. I went to the Richmond branch. SO YOU FOUND IT, WHAT'S NEXT
I came up to an empty reception desk. Weird… I stood there for a little bit. Then glanced down at the table. The notice there read "If you would like to book a treatment, please leave your name and number and we will contact you, if you decide that you are worthy out attention (ok the last bit is made up). I was about to drop my name down as the lovely receptionist emerged.
Receptionist: Good morning, how can I help you Me: Umm, yeah I'd like to book a treatment. Receptionist: Sure, what would you like? Me: um the one for the back, with a massage, whatsit Receptionist: Maybe back cleansing with a massage (gives two brochures, 1 with descriptions of all the treatments, the other one with prices) Me: yeah that.
In the end it was booked to be in two days, at 12, which was perfect with me.
BEFORE THE TREATMENT
I was asked to fill in a little form asking me about my allergies, diseases, diet, marital status and level of stress.
THE TREATMENT Basically it was just what the doctor ordered. It is a sort of facial for the back: exfoliation, steaming, massage and mask. It felt great, smelled not quite so great (I don't like ylang-ylang, and time will ask them to use something else). The therapist was very attentive and kept asking if the amount of pressure was ok, or if the steam was ok and so on. She was extremely polite, happy to talk, happy not to talk. I enjoyed it a lot. For the rest of the say I was flying. My back felt much cleaner. The room was called the Rose room and was completely pink - chairs, towels, wall and curtains.
PRICE
For my treatment total of £37, £10 deposit up front. For all the treatments and prices you can refer to the website http://www.thegreen-room.co.uk/
SPECIAL
Oh since you are the first time customer you get a little pleasant treat. All the brochures they have, £5 voucher for your next treatment. Trial size of body shop product, in my case coconut body scrub and a little card to recommend your friend. The friend gets 20% off their 1st treatment and you get £10 voucher. So if any of you are thinking about going there, let me know :)
CLUB MILES
YES. For all treatments except combination treatments, you get club miles from 1 to 3 club miles for a treatment. To fill one card you need to get 8 miles. Some treatments require one full card some require 2 full cards, eg back cleansing requires 1 full card. Half way through your card you can choose a free gift or a charity donation to Children on the Edge. I'll try to scan this leaflet in, just so you can have a look.
OVERALL I am happy. I will go there again. Probably for a facial. To the same therapist (Allison). But I also want to visit a proper day spa just for experience.
Advantages: No colour, hydrates the skin, absorbs well Disadvantages: Personally, I think it should have a smell to it
on holiday, as it will not take up lots of room in your bag.
I also think the bottle is well designed. The white and green I believe are used because of the neutral colours, and show how neutral the product really is.
It is also cheap!
I would definately recommend this product. ...
Advantages: Felt ever so chilled out and relaxed afterwards!! Disadvantages: Still too shilled out and relaxed to think of any!!
/restaurant and the children's toy section.
When I arrived I was greeted by very polite staff, who were dressed smartly in black. Despite me being 5 minutes late I was still accommodated and after a couple of minutes seated in the waiting area, which had lovely cubed leather seating, I was show through to a treatment room. The room was quite small, with a sink and bench at one end, a massage bed and 2 chairs. The walls of the room were sage green and complemented the fluffy, soft, crimson and white towels. The lights were dim and gentle and the air temperature was cool but not cold - it was a very hot day with temperatures soaring outside, so it was rather lovely to be cool! The floor was marble, and there was gentle pan-pipe music playing. It was all super-relaxing!
While the therapist got me my first complementary coffee of the morning I had a lovely foot ...
Advantages: Good for money, Doesn't generally irritate the skin, Good design Disadvantages: Smell can be overpowerful, The Lynx Effect might not be the effect you desired
Question: With all the hype of "The Lynx Effect" why not actually get a woman's opinion on this?
Well hey presto your wish is my command and here you go, a verdict on lynx deoderant from someone who's supposed to fall flat at your feet and beg you back to mine the second I get a single whiff of your lynx deoderant. Hhm-mm
Now ive had to consult my friends and brothers on how well lynx works in terms of combatting those sweat pores. But lets be honest, that sometimes just isnt as important as to how good it smells. Everyone knows the way to a girls heart is hygiene and cleanliness, and smell is a BIG part of that.
I'll be honest and just say it right now. Any lynx smell to me immediatly takes me back to the days of secondary school and the boys changing rooms. The floor's covered in muddy puddles, the showers are surely talking ...
