One product i simply can't live without during mealtime is HeinzTomatoKetchup. HeinzKetchup holds an almost iconic stature for the British public during mealtime, and I for one am no different. HeinzKetchup sits at my dinner table more often than my own family, and it has done since I can remember.
HeinzTomatoKetchup was first imported to the UK in 1896, but it wasn't until 1948 that it began mass producing in the UK. HeinzKetchup was only available in the original glass bottles, that are still available to this day, that was until 1987 when Heinz first introduced the plastic squeeze bottle.

As I mentioned before, I love to smother all sorts of food with Heinztomatoketchup. This has become a bit of a joke amongst my family and friends, so much so that it prompted my boyfriend to buy me the HeinzTomatoKetchupCookbook for Christmas! After having a flick through the pages over Christmas, I must say some of the recipes look a bit too outlandish even for a tomatoketchup addict like me! There is even a recipe for tomatoketchup and passion fruit ice cream! However there are some interesting recipes in the book that I have yet to attempt.
