Advantages Advantages Lots of fun for all the family

    Disadvantages Disadvantages None

Being 38, single with no children or nephews or nieces, recent children’s television has tended to pass me by completely. I wouldn’t know a Teletubby from a Tweenie, Bob the Builder from Sabrina the Teenage Witch! However just recently I had to be up rather early and at 6.00 am decided to watch television news. On switching on the television up popped Channel 4 and I met, for the first time, the Hoobs. **Synopsis** The Hoobs are furry little characters from Hoobland, a faraway planet, who have been sent to the Peep Planet (earth) to find out all about it and report back to the ... more

Advantages Advantages Very fun to watch and has one of the best theme tunes around!

    Disadvantages Disadvantages On at 6am!!!

I love this show, the only problem is the time it is shown - about 6am! I'd not seen it in years and almost forgot it existed! My friends and I used to watch it most weekends, we would tune in at around 6am and crash out in front of The Hoobs after a hard nights clubbing! It could have been the alcohol affecting our brains but it seemed to be a very interesting programme and we were all hooked! Now I have my very own Tiddlypeep (child) so i've got an excuse to watch it again! Yay. And luckily I have Sky+ so the ridiculous showing times aren't a problem anymore. I now realise that it wasn't the ... more

Advantages Advantages Bright, Lively and easy to understand

    Disadvantages Disadvantages none

I have just discovered a wonderful new childrens program on channel 4, its called the Hoobs and it has my children hooked every time it comes on. Its starts at 11.00am weekdays and it is very colourful. The Hoobs are from Hoobland and their names are Ivor, Groove and Tula, they are set missions from their leader Hub Bub and they travel around in the Hoob bus Which has the singing motorites inside the engine. The songs are catchy and easy for children to understand. The Hoobs have their mission set and they then have to look for information to send back to Hub Bub, they often take a trip to see ... more

    Advantages Advantages probably educational

Disadvantages Disadvantages featured a smoking penguin

I don’t have kids; I don’t watch kiddies TV - so you might be asking why I am writing an opinion on the Hoobs? Well I saw one of the most disgusting things on TV yesterday. I just happened to switch to channel four and saw about 30 seconds of a cartoon featured on a children’s TV show called The Hoobs. Let me set the scene. A handful of penguins were playing on the ice having just found a car tyre. One of the penguins asked their father to give them a push whilst they all sat on their new found toy! Well, there is certainly nothing wrong with the picture so far but what ... more
