Advantages: A PAGE TURNER ! Disadvantages: NOTHING
accompany him on his journey and soon they are off.
How they get there is really quite clever, if a little naïve. The Writing is so good you can not put it down. The pace is flowing and this is one of those rare page turners that you must read. They globe that they go too the moon in would of course kill them both in reality but lets ignore that fact, the Moon when they get there is fanciful and totally unbelievable, it even has at atmosphere, great!
They meet aliens called Selenites and soon they are fleeing for their lives.
They description of the aliens, their society and Moon creatures is superbly done.
This is a must read, it is fun and riveting.
Buy it, borrow it but read it.

Advantages: Possibly Wells' best work, tense, thought provoking and dramatic. Disadvantages: Very short, flawed in the same way as Wells' other works.
of the Worlds chappie. Okay l suppose you can say its an ordinary man in an extraordinary situation. Quite an interesting conceit, but every book you write? Dont read all the H.GWells novels in a row. You'll just get annoyed.

Its quite some time before our protaganist joins us in working this out so you will have to suffer numerous sections given to his ...
Advantages: Ahead of its time, short (hence quick read), relevant messages Disadvantages: Old fashioned language and maybe prejudice
H. G. Wells is almost certainly best known for The War Of The Worlds, and also The Invisible Man and The Time Machine, which show him to be a pioneer of sci-fi/horror (remember he was writing around 1900!). The Island of Dr Moreau was Wells? third book, originally published in 1896.
