Adrift in a dinghy, Edward Prendick, the single survivor from the good ship Lady Vain, is rescued by a vessel carrying a profoundly unusual cargo - a menagerie of savage animals.
Advantages: Possibly Wells' best work, tense, thought provoking and dramatic. Disadvantages: Very short, flawed in the same way as Wells' other works.
of the Worlds chappie. Okay l suppose you can say its an ordinary man in an extraordinary situation. Quite an interesting conceit, but every book you write? Dont read all the H.GWells novels in a row. You'll just get annoyed.
Anyway on this boat he meets a fellow passenger called Montgomery. Montgomery is a scientist as well and assisstant to Dr. Moreau. He's probably the most interesting character we meet in the novel. But thats probably because he's the only interesting character we meet in the novel. Montgomery is accompanied by some most peculiar assisstants. One has a protruding face, shaggy black hair and is rediculously loyal towards his master. You mean like a dog? Yes like some sort of man/dog hybrid in fact. accompany him on his journey and soon they are off.
How they get there is really quite clever, if a little naïve. The Writing is so good you can not put it down. The pace is flowing and this is one of those rare page turners that you must read. They globe that they go too the moon in would of course kill them both in reality but lets ignore that fact, the Moon when they get there is fanciful and totally unbelievable, it even has at atmosphere, great!
They meet aliens called Selenites and soon they are fleeing for their lives.

This is a must read, it is fun and riveting.
Buy it, borrow it but read it.
Written by HGWells. ...
