Even I know that it is really annoying to get up to get to your key board to press stop so I could go and gram some more pop corn. This product made my life even easier. It's not just a PC remote; I used it for all of my entrainment equipment. It's a key for everything and there for I have this remote in my dressing-gown's pocket. The number of the functions that you can use really made it comfortable for me to rent videos and watch them with a maximum satisfaction. ...I bought the Shuttle PN31 Infrared Remote for my Dell Dimension 8400 PC running Microsoft XP Home Edition two months ago and love it!! The remote requires no driver CD or software - simply plug the black infrared receiver into a USB port and your PC recognises it straight away as a "human interface device", just as it does a mouse or keyboard. It has a built in mouse which is really easy to use. There are a number of "hot keys" - these are shortcut buttons which allow you to open windows media player, your web browser, start menu, email, favorites, my computer, it even allows you to turn off your computer at the press of a button!!!! It works really well with media player - even if media player is running in the background or minimised, the volume can be adjusted at the touch of a button. I have a Freecom Freeview USB TV...
