Danielle Steel has become predictable I must say. At the beginning of her stories somebody breaks up with somebody else and there are always morbidly depressed for the next 10 chapters. For instance, in Palimino, the guy breaks up with the girl as he feels inferior to her.

I often find this very heavy as I am only a teenager. I have been brought up to think that marriages are forever and will last forever even though I see the statistics stating that 1 in 3 marriages end in divorce. I still find it heavy and depressing.

So. When I opened this book and the guy leaves the girl, I groaned. Not another sob story, but I decidided to read on anyway.

Basically, Stephanie blames herself for the split, thinking that her old flannel nighties and hairy legs did the trick but really, her husband has found a big busted, skinny blond. All of our worst nightmares.

In a radical decision she exchanges her flannels for silky sexy night dresses (except one or two she clings on to for comfort!) gets her hair and nails done and flies to Paris a couple of days before she is to pick up her two kids from her husband.

There Stephanie meets Peter, conservative, sexy, hes everything she ever wants. And yes, inevitably they get together. And then the kids don't like him. Fair enough.

Do one week he has to go away. She is saddened but knows he'll be back soon. But a lot sooner than she expected...

The doorbell goes, and its Peter, much earlier than arranged!

But its not really Peter, it is in fact, his clone sporting spandex, designer suitcases and calling himself Paul

Of course, Stephanie love with the robot and his triple back flip while they are making love, but she knows she cannot fall in love with a robot!

In the end....well that would be telling!

As you can see, this book is outside the Danielle Steel mould, and is a feel good book without the tears!

Compared to books such as Palimino, A Long Road Home, BitterSweet and Malice, this book stands out as different and fantstically well written.

I'd recommend this book book to anyone and although my favourite Danielle Steel book is Mirror Image, this book is a very close second!
