In this game, set hundreds of years after Ocarina Of Time, you control the hero Link, as he tries to prevent Hyrule from being engulfed by the Twilight Realm, a dark parallel dimension filled with monsters. He is helped by Midna, a mysterious creature from the Twilight Realm.
A major difference between this and other Zelda games you have the ability to turn into a wolf. This gives you abilities that you wouldn't normally have as a human, such as a heightened sense of smell, digging holes and being able to jump further. This is just another genius step for the creators of this game, constantly inventing new and different things to add to this series of games.
As with all other Zelda games you can free roam a lot, and the amount of space in the game is staggering. The game is so vast it's hard to believe it all fits on one disc. You can run for ages and not even get half way across the sprawling countryside. There are places where you can swim, glide and fly and maybe even find something hidden away. Another similarity is the collecting of items, of which there are many. Some you collect to help you on your quest, some are completely optional and can be collected at any time.
There are lots of different weapons to try, and each have good and bad points. There is so much to do it's unbelievable, from helping people to collecting things to time trials and so many things inbetween. A lot of it is optional but you're really missing something if you don't try to do as much as possible, if only just to prolong the game. The visuals are amazing, they're not the greatest graphics you'll ever seen, but they don't need to be. They're great for this game and is yet another positive going for it.
The main dungeons are full of difficult, inventive, puzzles and very clever in their structure, it must take months to make each one and to make sure it all blends together seamlessly. Some are quite hard to decipher, but not hard enough that you'll be throwing the controller at the wall, just the right difficulty level I think.
Overall one of the greatest games you are ever likely to play, I really can't rate it high enough, five stars!

Review of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (GameCube)
...RPG, and was introduced to the Legend of Zelda by my husband who is a true fan. I believe he now regrets introducing me to the series as I have spent many a happy hour playing Ocarina of Time, Windwaker, and now of course Princess of Twilight. This new addition to the series I can only describe as a true epic!
***** The Game *****
It has been two years in the making, and once again Nintendo have truly out done themselves. This game is slightly ... ...game itself is much larger. The adventure begins with you waking up and being able to name your character many of traditionalists will stick with the characters original name of Link. Once again Link must awaken as the hero and in this case awaken his inner beast!
The story starts in the Ordon Village where you begin to learn the skills and techniques you need to master the controls for the game. The controls are much the same as previous versions ...

Advantages: Another Great Zelda Title Disadvantages: If Only It Was Real.....
I'm a huge fan of the zelda series and news of the next in the sequal made me pre-order this...
When it arrived I could hardly wait. After continuousley playing ocarina of time I had high hopes of the long awaited twilight princess. The game starts off when your character, (of whom you can name yourself) wakes up in his house, after being awaken by the village children who want to play games. After performing various tasks (which also help you learn ... ...The graphics are superb with textures and landscapes which will leave you thinking about the fantasy world, with some catchy tunes which will keep you humming all day. I found the game exceptionally detailed in places of which some parts also link back to past games which gives the game meaning. This is hard to achieve and i don't think i've seen a better example of how a character with a sword on a quest to save the world could have been made any ...

Advantages: Super Addictive Disadvantages: boss hardess is Inconsistent
...rumoured to be one of the greatest games ever, and you know what? It is.
The game opens with a small village, Ordon, this is Link's hometown. What I was most looking forward to riding Epona which came quite quickly, this was good, the control was smooth and the speed was perfect, fast but I could still control it.
You are thrown into the twilight realm and become a wolf, like riding on Epona this is has smooth handeling when moving and is actually ... ...meet Princess Zelda.
Before the first three dungeons you have to collect tears to fill the vessal with, this unlike other games where have to collect things is not boring. Infact it's really quite fun because you have to work out how to get to certain places and use you wolf senses to see the bugs.
The dungeons are genius, they're designed really well and I had great fun playing these. The bosses were great however the hardess is Inconsistent since ...

Advantages: Brilliant graphics, Oocu, its authenticity Disadvantages: Does not quite beat The Ocarina of time
...if you have not played the version on the Wii. The controls are fun don't get me wrong but lets face it, the layout of the controls in all of the original Zelda games (N64 and Gamecube) are fundamental to its authenticity. So personally I actually prefer the Gamecube version. Apart from the controls the only other difference is that the maps are reversed, which makes not the slightest difference because the official walkthrough guide (should you ... ...As far as the story goes, this tale is as gripping and epic as ever. We follow Link from his little home Village Ordon, as he completes everyday chores herding goats in the ranch before being plunged into a fierce war between the light world and the shadow world. (I don't want to give too much away) The structure remains the same as all other big Zelda epics with the perfect combination of gigantic free roaming worlds (Hyrule field is far bigger ...

...other games is very long. The slight problem with this is that it reduces it's replay value.... for me at least. It kind of feels too epic to want to go through it again.... as great as it was.
I didn't really enjoy the whole wolf thing either.
The dungeons were, mostly, nicley challenging (still not enough for my liking) but some of them didn't seem as much like dungeouns as just a long way around to get an item.
I do love this game but not as ...

Advantages: Great mature graphics, a traditional storyline Disadvantages: Far too easy, clichéd story, disappointing
The Legend of Zelda: TwilightPrincess was announced a few years before its release. It was announced as a GameCubegame slated for a 2005 release. Many Zelda fans were disappointed with the "childish" look of the previous instalment, The Wind Waker. Therefore, the crowd went wild when the first trailer was released.
After delay and delay, the game was released in late 2007 as a GameCube and Wii game.
The amount of hype surrounding the game is the main factor of its failure. It doesn't live up to it. The graphics are impressive at times, but for a Wii game are sub-par and the textures are a lower resolution than with The Wind Waker.
The storyline is cliché, and pretty much a traditional plot. The introduction of the Twilight Realm aids the game's aimed atmosphere, but is too reminiscent of the Dark World from previous games ...

Effect" and "White Knight Story".
Nintendo has decided to go in a different direction, figuring games have now taken the form they were imagining and it's finally time to revolutionize the way they are played. They came up with a small, stylish, affordable unit to do it: The Wii is slightly bigger than your computer's disc drive and more than 4 times smaller than the 360 and the PS3.
That's not to say processing power was neglected. The Wii is touted as being two and a half times more powerful than the GameCube, which has produced some terrific looking games. "Resident Evil 4" looked fantastic and "The Legend of Zelda: TwilightPrincess", principally developed as a GameCube title, is massive and has gorgeous character models.
Inevitably, as the Wii's power is slowly untapped, even more impressive games will surface. They'll never ...
