Marco Pierre White in my kitchen - 3 in 1 Hand blender +

Advantages: One gadget does so much - blends, mixes, chops, easy to store and light
Disadvantages: lead too short, have to hold the button in all the time you are using it,

Russell Hobbs Marco Pierre White 3-in-1 Hand Blender 14334 with Balloon Whisk and Chopping Bowl I was lucky enough to have enough points on one of my survey sites to be able to get this for nothing but it is on Amazon for about £35 I notice. I had given my big food processor to my daughter when she moved out as I never used it. I kept a little hand mixer and a blender. The blender died so I replaced it with a cheap one from Tesco which was total rubbish so after the third replacement I asked for my money back. Now I only had a hand mixer which wasn't that useful for soups hence looking for something small that would do the job. I saw this and thought it would be perfect as it would fit in a drawer ( most of it) and would do all I wanted I thought and best of all it was for nothing except points earned from surveys. I certainly was ...

Review of Russell Hobbs Marco Pierre 3-in-1 Hand Blender 14334

He's a pussycat really .........................

Advantages: exciting, action packed, funny and intresting
Disadvantages: none!

Earlier this year after watching Hells Kitchen religiously I enquired at my local library to see if Marco Pierre White had written an autobiography, a few weeks later they had got me a copy from another branch so the read began. The first few chapters took me a while as I don't get much time to read but when we went on holiday I was able to really get into it and couldn't put it down! The book starts with Marco writing about his childhood in Leeds and his family. He lived with mum, dad and three brothers, his mother was Italian which is where his name comes. Tragically she died suddenly when he was very young (i think six years old) and he speaks about the impact this had on his life and future relationships. He says in the preface that writing the book was a journey in itself for him and that it helped to make sense of some ...

Review of White Slave: The Autobiography - Marco Pierre White

Mirabelle

Advantages: Great food and equally great ambiance
Disadvantages: bit pricey

You can see it now, James Bond hopping out of his brand new tooled up aston martin vanquish, strolling in and ordering his trademark tipple. Mirabelle was reopened in 1998 by Marco Pierre White and offers sophisticated french cooking located centrally in W1 Mayfair. In it's hay day in the 50s and 60s it was the epitome of cool and was where THE people hung out. 56 Curzon Street, 9:00pm and pulling up to the entrance I am welcomed cheerfully by the doorman who kindly opens the door and shows me the way. Satisfied diners walk past chatting about their wonderful meal. A waitress leads us to the bar where we will wait til our table is ready. As we wait gentle jazz is being played before us and already a certain ambiance has evolved. The decor is nice, classically elegant and warm and despite the enjoyable wait we are shown to the table ...
