...this book as it was the book of the month on one of the financial web sites and came recommended. I have read all through the book and it covers many areas but all very simply.The book covers the tools you will need, charts, how to pick shares, things to think about before starting, lets get trading etc and throughout the book there are many numerous references to ADVFN ( money web site. register free and have access to news, prices, charts etc) ... ...think in all I found the book a bit too simple, I have never traded in shares but often have a flick through the shares magazines and web sites but found most topics to be simple common sense, most people would have the info lodged somewhere in there brain if they had any ideas about buying shares. I suppose it helped to put all the info in one place but I think in all I was left wanting more info, I wanted greater depth.

I think if I were to recommend this book to anyone it would be to the complete newcomer with absolutely no knowledge of buying shares etc at all, for this type of person it would be an ideal start covering a broad range of topics with the added back up of the naked trader web site ( you can see what active trades are in place at the mo) and email contact with the man himself.

Advantages: Easy to read, Great tips, Well written Disadvantages: None
...& shares then this is the book for you. Its full of good advice without all the complicated baffling jargon most books on shares go on about. As someone who has bought stocks and shares and made many mistakes, I wish I had found this book a lot earlier. Dont be put off by the title this is a serious book that can be put down and picked up at will. I have read this book many times and everytime I pick something new up. Most books on money are heavy ...
