Advantages: Hilarious Disadvantages: Where on earth does she get the names from?!
...! Swoon!
Julia and Big Horn - Tally's mum and her Mum's boy friend, Julia goes a bit crazy during the book turning from a posh lady who lunches into a yoga loving, primal screaming, new age hippie. Big Horn dresses as a Red Indian (in a suede loin cloth business!) much to the disgust of the housekeeper Mrs Ormondroyd.
+ The Names +
Once you get into the book you get quite into the hilarious names Holden gives things. Mullions is is 'Lower Bulge' and there is a lady known as Fluffy Fronte-Bottom and of course The Sisse-Pooles. At first you wonder where on earth she gets these names from, but they become a great part of the book.
Holden takes the mickey out of TPT in the book although I think she comes out quite well.

...of the ideas should set you back more than Five Pounds.
At the book launch in September TaraPalmer-Tomkinson gave her public endorsement, performing one prescribed task by writing a letter to someone who has inspired her. At the same event The Duchess of York personally baked 200 gingerbread men for everyone in attendance, following yet another tip - “Bake something for a friend”.
Politicians, peace-makers and party people are all board in this move for social change. So what could YOU do to change the world?... here’s just a few ideas proposed in the book that you can do for FREE!
Smile at someone and smile back if someone smiles at you. It takes half as many muscles to smile as to frown.
Share your bath. An average bath uses 65 litres of water, that's 65 litres saved if you hop in together!!

...-rounded and believable, you never really get to see underneath the surface, so you do feel a little detached. It's not really necessary with this kind of book but it would be nice to see why they're the way they are! All the main characters have strong personalities though, and never get too far-fetched - even Champagne D'Vyne is a believable, strangely likeable character!
It's hardly serious reading but if you're after an easy read that'll raise a few laughs, you can't go far wrong. There are some hysterically funny moments which will have you snorting with laughter (like I did!), but the humour isn't for everyone and is just a little bit surreal and silly (have you ever met anyone called Fluffy Fronte-Bottom?)! If you're gossipy and like to bitch about 'socialite' celebrities like TaraPalmerTomkinson and Paris Hilton, you'll love it - it's most...
