    Advantages Advantages Wonderful story with amazing characters

    Synopsis of the book: When a beautiful young mother Sandra disappears the Boston Police fear the worst. Not only have they an urgent investigation on their hand but they fear massive media interest in the missing lady and her family. Added to this her husband Jason is a journalist this is going to be a case that gets a lot of media coverage. Jason reports his wife missing when in comes in from work in the early hours of the morning, to find the house all locked up with only their four year old daughter Ree in residence asleep in bed.     The Author Lisa Gardner began writing in college and successfully sold a novel which was given the title ‘Walking After Midnight’. Following her first pay check she got a normal job as a Management Consultant which she loathed. In her evenings she would write romance novels which ended up producing 13 books and a TV Movie. Lisa Gardner wanted a change, so decided that thriller was the area she wanted to be in and so she produced her debut thriller novel The Perfect Husband in 1997.     I'm quite fussy when it comes to books. Usually will go for autobiographies, or fiction by the same authors . I don't normally read anything by a new author unless I've heard an awful lot of praise about them. Until recently though I had not heard of author Lisa Gardner, and when faced with her latest, 'The Neighbour', something inside me made me rather keen to give it a read! I have to hold my hand up and admit that I do judge a book by its cover, despite the fact that I shouldn't!
