A person with a FirstAid Certificate could save a life - they could also save your life too, if you in need of some assistance. Just say you were out in the street, and you saw an individual collapse in front of you. As you have had no training (although common sense does play a big part in it aswell), you would feel helpless because you had absolutely no idea as to what you had to do. Therefore, I would urge you to get on a course and get that proper training under your belt - as you never know just when you might need it! However, you will just need to remember that you are only there to support the injured person until the necessary Paramedic help is there.
