Advantages The story continues on from the magicians guild making Soneas story even more enjoyable!

Disadvantages In my eyes the book was too short lol!

Sonea is now about to take the oath of a novice at the acceptance ceremony. She knows coming from the slums that the other novices may not accept her at first as they are all from noble families.

Little did she realise to what extent she would be pushed out.

She is taunted and hated by her class mates, do they really wish to see her fail as much as they seem to want her to? Yes!

Rothen (her guardian) and Dannyl try to help sonea as much as they can, but soon nasty rumors are spread involving sonea.

This seems to be unbearable until the high lord Akkarrin steps in to take over soneas guardianship!

Sonea must keep quiet about Akkarrins 'crimes' or she will cause harm to Rothen!

Rothen is worried about his former novice how can he protect her now?

Rothen is not the only one worried, Lorlen the guilds administrator has hes worrys too, how could his closest friend have turned on him?

There is much they do not understand! But sonea by becoming Akkarrins novice will she have to sit back and allow Akkarrins crimes to continue, or worse will she be made to help?

Nothing will be the same for sonea any more!

Now after reading the Magicians Guild i went straight out a brought this book! I was not disappointed in any way!

i had low expectations of this book believing that the second could in no way better the first! I was very wrong! This book is amazing.

Sonea's character develops even more in this book and we even get some romance! I started reading this book and was finishd the night after buying it! I could not put it down, i was hooked!

Many parts of the book shocked me and i colud not believe some parts! It had me sitting there not wanting to stop because of what was happening!

My best friend knows the whole book even though having never read it! I gave her an update on what had happened everytime i took a break and this book left me hooked wanting more!!

I went straight out and brought the last book: The high lord!

At 18 years old i had not expected to be so hooked to this book!

I would recommend this to any fantasy fan, though i would say you should read the magicians guild first!

This book can be found in most book stores for around £8 for the hard back version! It can also be found on ebay for around £3 which is well worth the cost!
