Down with Democracy

Advantages: Concise style, engaging subject matter
Disadvantages: Terminology may confuse

Writing at a time when it seemed that democracy, that great liberal ideal now taken for granted in western society, might well give way to a new totalitarian nightmare, Karl Popper crafted in 1943 a wartime masterpiece that should be read by anyone with an interest in the defence of freedom. A concise, analytical, and contemplative study in political philosophy, The Open Society and Its Enemies remains engaging and readable throughout, making it a must for both the seasoned intellectual and the casual enthusiast. Samsung R519

Advantages: Looks Amazing
Disadvantages: only a 250GB hard drive

another great laptop! the design looks amazing in every way! thro they could of done something with the spaces either side of the keyboard, i think the black rely brings it out. the display quality complements the build quality in that this laptop wont fall apart on you any time soon. samsung are renowned for there build quality!. the graphics card it good, Intel's own an latest. 3GBs ram although becoming slightly regular is still top end when it comes down to it. that with the processor will give a very speedy laptop. the hard drive isn't great i would of liked to see at leased a 500GB in a 15.6" display size laptop, the CD drive doesn't support blu-ray which is a shame but we can all do without the expensive costs of blu-ray DVDs quality or not. the OS is vista home premium which will run very well on the hardware specifications ...

KARL MARX'S COMMUNIST MANIFESTO

Advantages: Fantastic Philosophy to an important word movement,
Disadvantages: Quite short, doesn't go into the detail of Das Kapital

*****History***** The Communist Manifesto was initially published in 1848 (in London), although the text was originally in German. The first English translation was created in 1850. It was commissioned by the Communist League and to lay out the League's intentions and program. The Manifesto had a great number of editions from 1872 to 1890, with important prefaces written by Marx and Engels for the 1872 German edition, 1882 Russian edition, 1883 German edition, 1888 English edition. *****The Authors***** Although the names of Friedrich Engels and Karl Marx appear as joint-authors, Engels has stated that it was "essentially Marx's work" Most recent researchers believe that "the actual drafting of The Communist Manifesto was done exclusively by Marx." *****Synopsis***** The Manifesto is separated into five sections ...
