The stores are a little like Ikea, but smaller, generally city center based, with an Oriental/Asian twist and a little more hefty a price tag. The products take influence primarily from Africa and Asia which makes them quite different to your average home store. Your standard candles start from about £2 up to about a tenner, decorative cushions cost between £10-25, picture frames from £5 up and furniture with prices up in the £100's. ... more
Cusions, curtains, bedspreads, CD racks, vases, candles, incense, ornaments, gifts, furniture, mirrors, rugs, outdoor entertaining, clocks, picture frames, dried flowers, lighting, stationary, storage, tableware, you name it the Pier has it.

Your standard candles start from about £2 up to about a tenner, decorative cushions cost between £10-25, picture frames from £5 up and furniture with prices up in the £100's. The produce is high quality and individual, it's not for everyone admittedly but I personally really like it. To give you an idea of the sort of goods they sell I have attached a few pictures taken from the Pier website below, I've also included the prices to give you more of an idea of the range.
I've personally visited stores in central Cardiff and in Newcastle, the latter is a strange store hidden away at the back of Eldon Gardens where you could easily miss it as the shop has no outside access. There is also a store at the metro centre just outside Newcastle.
Additionally there are stores in the following locations: Aberdeen, Basingstoke, Birmingham, Bluewater (Kent), Bourmouth, Brighton, Bristol, Bromley, Cardiff, Chester, Croydon, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Guildford, Hull, Kingston Upon Thames, Leeds, Leicester, Livingston, London, Manchester, Merry Hill, Nowich, Nottingham, Reading, Romford, Southampton, Southport and Wimbleton.
If you don't live in one of the places given above or if you are a fan of online shopping than check out there website and shop online at http://www.pier.co.uk/. The website is easy to use and navigate although I have never personally bought anything from them online. You must allow up to 28 days for delivery and you must be resident in the UK unless you are willing to pay additional costs which they do not explicitly state on the website. Apparently not all items are available online because of the possibility of the breakage of delicate items during delivery which I think is fair enough. For furniture, delivery is FREE for orders over £750, otherwise there is a £30 per order. For smaller items a postage and packing charge of £4.95 or for some items £12.95 will be added to your order.
There is a seven day return policy provided goods are still in good condition. For furniture you can get a full refund if you change your mind before delivery. After delivery they will deduct £50 for re-collection
Gift vouchers are also available in-store in the usual denominations.
In summary this shop has my full recommendations and if you're up for something a little different to brighten up your home then check this out!
Advantages: The smell of all the candles just draw you in Disadvantages: The more your in there the more you spend
This is one of the most welcoming stores i have been in.
You know when you go ino a store, you have xpectations of how you are "meant" to be served.... Well this is definately the store to go into.
There are a few inparticular staff members in the croydon store, right up in the new shopping centre Centrale, through the entrance and up the escalator you see it and smell it.
Its quite a small store out of all of them but its very welcoming!!
As ... ...ever invented The Papasan chair at £129 or sometimes on offer at £99 every now and then, Its a round chair with a huge cushion you sit in and just sink in. Its fabulous, not once have i gone in there where the chair is empty.
They sell sented candles including sherbert limes, coastal winds, island orchard, ginger peach, cyprus rose and asian spice, there will be one candle that you will just fall in love with.
Its often compared to Ikea but the ...

The Isle of Skye, although beautiful, is not renowned for it's shopping. It caters well for everyday needs but if you are after fashion then you probably need to travel a few hours to Inverness. However there is an exception to this, the exciting and unusual shop that goes by the name of Ragamuffin.
I first discovered Ragamuffin by accident a few years ago when the horizontal rain had persuaded us that walking was not an option. We had driven to the Sleat peninsula in the south of the Island and had followed the signs for the pier. We had intended to eat a picnic looking out to see and watch the ferry arriving from Mallaig on the mainland. I was intrigued to spot an open sign, fairly unusual to find much open on Skye in February! Braving the rain I went of to explore and found Ragamuffin. To give clear directions, Ragamuffin is ...
Advantages: Good Shirts Disadvantages: Poor prices, Poor Quality, unfriendly Sale tactics
on them and unless someone was into bulk buying this is not someone swapping tags about. In the end I managed to get the clothing for the price stated on the green tag. this is not the only isolated insident as my girlfriend has had the same problem in Top Shop and some of my friends have as well noticed this tedency for Top Man to put these prices on just to attract the customers. i beleive this to be false advertising and very unfair.
That was a specific point, but in general Top Man can supply good quality but heavily priced items. The trousers, as afor mentioned, can be heavily priced and even sale price will not bring them down more than £3-5. this much for a pair of trousers that seems to be made of a plastic material is rediculous. today I bought a pair of piere Cardin and LeeCooper trousers for £14 each- I would expect these to be ...

Famous for its mountainous and breathtaking scenery, The Isle of Skye ? situated off the West coast of Mainland Scotland - is the largest and best known of the Inner Hebrides. Renowned for its natural beauty and therefore a magnate for climbers, artists and photographers, it is perhaps not the first place one would think of to visit for a glorious shopping experience.
Seek and ye shall find.
The island looks tiny on the map but you'll need your entire holiday and more to discover even a small proportion of some of the area's hidden gems. I'd like to share one such shiny jewel with you.
Ragamuffin is situated on the pier in Armadale, Sleat (pronounced 'slate') on the south western peninsula of the island. The little shop (strangely like a sheik's tent, it is actually bigger inside than it appears outside) sits overlooking ...
