Advantages: Touch Screen, Affordable Disadvantages: Bad graphics with most games
After already owning a PSP I felt I had all the handheld gaming I needed however many of my peers owned NintendoDS' so I thought I would buy one in conjuction with the release of Pokemon Diamond after being a big fan of the series and I liked the potential of the DS.
The main reason for the DS' success has been marketing as well as affordability and game selection.
The marketing campaign which is very popular with nintendo is connectivity which is extremely true with 98% of all DS games using connectivity around the world, with friends and even with a Nintendo Wii.
The selection of games for the DS are great for both old and young with many ideas from looking after a pet dog to testing your brain and now you can play a guitar on it. However is you are critical on graphics then the DS is not a great console for that as only one ...

Ciao members have rated this review on average: very helpful Review of Nintendo DS Lite
feature in this console.
However if you purchase a NintendoDS make sure that you colaborate the system from time to time to insure that it does not go off sync.
There is a great range of games available for the NintendoDS for all ages.
The graphics on this console are quite outdated and cartoony compared to other portable consoles on the market for example the PSP, I personally dont mind this as it brings back old memorys and gives the console an old school element to gaming that I find really fun.
Overall I think this is a great console and recommend it to anyone who enjoys Nintendo platform games, this is a very user friendly system and portable fun for all the family.

Advantages: Very small & compact for travelling. Disadvantages: None i would say
I purchased a NintendoDs in 2005 when it first came out and they are fantastic!! I go on the brain training games which keep your mind active and I also go on fun games like Sonic and Mario which remind me of when I was little. If any is thinking of buying a Ds who hasnt already got one, i would say they are well worth the money! They are great entertainment for kids on long journeys or on holiday and are available in lovely colors so they are a great gift for birthdays or christmas! There are so many games available to buy for the NintendoDs varying from adopting animal games to cooking recipes. I love my NintendoDs and cannot imagine not having one now!!! ...
