Playstation 3 Vs XBox 360

Advantages: PS3 is more cost effective
Disadvantages: PS3 has less games at present, but this will change

, microsoft made up for this by giving you a huge Power Brick and chunky cables to plug in, the actually noise created is actually quite loud I have to say. Also the Xbox 360 does have a habbit of over heating due to poor design, this can have devistating consequences, however the new Xbox 360 Elite is not suppose to suffer these problems, although this isn't confirmed yet. The PS3, is actually all one unit it's power supply is built in, so it's a case of what you see is what you get, and it's very sleak. You can position it vertically or horizontally. It's very quite, and doesn't appear to over heat. Internet capabilities Both consoles can access the internet and have their own market places, and play live areas and allow you to download free firmware upgrades. However the PS3 does actually have a built in web browser which you ...

Microsoft Xbox 360 - A HD Gaming Machine

Advantages: impressive graphics, great gaming, good price
Disadvantages: building quality not great

Intro The xbox is for the average gamer who likes impressive graphics. The 360 is very easy to use espicially with the new xbox experience operating system which will be installed automatically on the first system start up if you connect your xbox to a broadband internet connection. The xbox features many games which usually retail at £40 - 50 for each game. Most games also allow you to go on xbox live and play with your friends online. The xbox marketplace is also available if you have an xbox live gold subscription (you get a month free with the system and its £30 month afterwards) where you can download movies and lots of other extra content for games for a small fee for each item. Graphics The graphics of a console are one of the biggest reasons for buying a console, and the xbox really dosen't disappoint. When i got my xbox ...

Xbox 360 - the ultimate gaming machine

Advantages: Incredible gaming experience, interactive user system
Disadvantages: Er... none?

This machine really is the cats pajamas. The quality of the graphics and sound is excellent, the games are overall, good although I'd like to see more games brought out for the 360. The interactive user system is awesome and we have it linked to the internet wirelessly. We have also linked up an external hard drive which holds all our music so that we can have personalised playlists while we're playing games. It's a much more sociable machine than the last online xbox, you are notified when your friends are online, you get points for playing online and a member profile. You can chat freely in the lobby areas and also text message your friends if you prefer to not use a headset. The wireless controllers are a must have - such a relief not to have wires all over the floor. This is the shape of things to come - and it ...
