I rarely watch television but if I see this programme on, I have to watch it. It is aired on BBC 3 and is a factual entertainment programme which looks into the everyday scams on the streets from people looking to make money from you. Scams are rein acted by the three presenters on real people to demonstrate just how easy it is. All the participants are compensated at the end, as the narrator clearly points out at the beginning of the programme. I guess the only worrying thing about this programme is that it may actually teach people on how to scam others.
As I have mentioned, there are three presenters that talk to you and carry out the scams, sometimes alone, sometimes working as a team to pull it off. All the presenters scam people in various ways, usually the end result is a lot of money, personal details etc...Again, all these people are given there money back and the audience are advised on how to look out for these scams and be cautious. Each of the presenters however, have an area of speciality. Al three are really interative with the audience and talk directly to the screen.
The first guy is a big bloke called Paul Wilson and he's an expert in cheating and con games. He usually demonstrates the cons and cheats behind gambling games like 'Roulette' and 'cards'. He has a quick hand and makes the techniques looks really easy. he shows how to constantly win a bet on Roulette, as well as various other tricks.
The second presenter is a very attractive lady called Jessica Jane Clement. She acts as the 'sexy Swindler.' She's able to get blokes to do what she wants for her own gain. There was a brilliant one where she pretends to be carrying a box of very expensive glasses, all of which are already smashed, but she purposely bumps into various guy's on the street and accusing them of breaking her present to her mother. They feel so sorry for her that they actually refund her money!
The final 'Hustler' is Alexis Coran who is a gambler and magician. He's also a bit of a 'ladie man' and so, has all the wit and charm to pull of tricks.
The show always has a hustle involving a card game. Then, there is a 'Hustle your mates' part. This is only harmless stuff, like how to get a free round of drinks by placing a 'proposition bet' which you are guaranteed to win. Other aspects of the show focus on daily life and routine and the potential scams one may encounter. For example, fraud cash machines which take all your bank and card details; sales people who can con you of your money or other tricks involving various things which will earn you money.
There are usually 'themes' to the programme as well. Like being scammed 'on Holiday' ; 'in the pub', 'on the streets' etc...
This is a really good show. It sounds mean but some people are really gullible to some of the situations which is quite funny really. Some of the scams are genuinely devious and really sly and clever. I have learnt a lot from the show which is invaluable. As I mentioned before however, there is a chance that viewers may actually take on board the scams and test them for themselves.
The programme lasts 1 hours and is aired anytime from around 5pm on BBC 3. Most of the programmes will be repeats as I am not aware of any new episodes.
If you want to see a 'sample' of some of the programmes contents, follow this link - 'http://www.bbc.co.uk/realhustle/besthustles/' This shows some of the best hustles so you can get an idea for some of the cons that they demonstrate. They are so clever; it's intriguing to watch! It's a great programme because it's different to anything else on TV and very informative and beneficial to everyone yet at the same time, entertaining. Hey, you may even get a free round of drinks off your mates if you pull of a stunt well enough!
Advantages: Interesting, Some good things to try out (not in a criminal way) Disadvantages: Gives criminals ideas ?
...About ? ~~~ The Real Hustle involves 3 con artists carrying out scams on unsuspecting members of the public. The type of scams vary from being card tricks on the street to selling property which doesn't belong to you. The skill involved also varies greatly. Some of the things which are done take years of practice and others just relying on people's trusting nature and their eye for a good deal. The shows is on BBC 3 and usually runs for around 30mins. ... ...known. All of the money which is earned is given back. ~~~ Who's in it ? ~~~ *Paul Wilson* - The star of the show. Paul is the one who peforms all the high skill cons and is extremely talented with cards and all that related stuff. He could easily make a fortune using his skills to actually con people, but instead chooses to help prevent you from being conned. He has been involved in movies of the con artist type, such as the Oceans movies and also ...

Advantages: A science magazine style show again! wooo! Disadvantages: It tries to be cool. Science isn't cool, so stop pretending it can be.
- unusually named ex gadget show (Channel 5) presenter.
Yan Wong - a genius but kept hidden away for most of the time incase the vapidity of the other presenters shows too much.
What other shows is it like?
It's a bit like The RealHustle, but about science. It's a bit like Top Gear, but no audience. It's a bit like Tomorrow's World, but unfortunately not as serious. It's a bit like Egg Heads but with a bit more smugness.
Endurance factors
This show is only half an hour long and it does have plenty of interesting new sciency things to discuss, so it's quite good. However it does go on and on about some things well beyond the point where you've understood them. Each program seems to run on a theme, such as friction - where they'll talk about friction in nearly every article. It's not as cutting edge and news worthy as Tomorrow ...
Advantages: On Freeview, does have some unusual offerings, good comedies Disadvantages: Too many repeats, repeated too often. only on for a limited time each day
BBC Three is one of those extra channels that appeared a few years ago with the advent of freeview television. Much as many of the Freeview channels leave a lot to be desired if your Freeview box goes on the blimp and you are left with just the basic 5 free channels you will miss those extra ones.
BBC Three is on Channel 7 on Freeview and, along wiih BBC Four on Channel 9, extended the BBC'S presence on our screens and promised big things. However as so often with these new channels it has, on the whole, failed to deliver. BBC Three comes on air every evening, at seven, and runs programmes through until four in the morning.
As an example of a typical days viewing here is what is on offer today:-

Advantages: Great viewing with more twists than a Curly Wurly Disadvantages: When back-bones were handed-out Eddie was too spineless to get any
sister, Emma who is the real protector. - Very well executed first series for Matt Di Angelo in Hustle he sure didn't slip up.
Rob Jarvis who has a role playing Eddie; has made the easily lead bar man his own since the first series; a Stan Laurel character, who seems to always be sucked in to the grifters plan; and always gets the raw deal of it. A bar man who is so likeable you understand why the team has looked after him and taken him under their wing; usually all for the wrong reasons as he is the gullible one who is played more times than Rooney though-out the Premiership season. The grifters bar trick cons on poor Eddie is a light-hearted interlude that is an absolute belly-laugh; definitely worth remembering while getting served in a bar, some of which are pure TV gold, Rob Jarvis is a legend at playing the victim. Now a middling ...
