- Use after every shave for maximum benefit.

Sounds simple enough eh? When they say ‘Squirt a small amount’, I can see why as this product goes an extremely long way. I use a little blob about the size of a button in the palm of my hand and this is usually enough to moisturise all of the shaving areas on my face and neck. This balm spreads easily and it feels very smooth and moisturising while I’m rubbing it into my face and neck without any nasty surprises that some balms can supply - such as stinging and a general greasy-ness feeling. The balm is easily absorbed by my skin and it leaves my face looking very matt and almost untouched, there are absolutely no detectable shiny parts to my face after use and my skin looks and feels fresh and moisturised

This balm has tea tree in the list of ingredients of which helps the skin to heal by penetrating the first layer and encouraging new tissue to grow, it also controls fungal growth (Nasty stuff!

) and it is also know to prevent spots. The balm also contains natural Aloe Vera and this is very gentle on the skin, it helps to reduce post shave redness and it reduces swelling/discomfort. The smell of this is very nice and I can only explain the scent as the smell of tea tree and Aloe Vera oils mixed together, it sounds strange but I find it very refreshing and almost edible!

*** Any problems? ***

The only slight problem that I can think of is that I sometimes experience a stinging sensation if I apply this straight after shaving. I find that I have to wait a few minutes before I apply this as the stinging can be unbearable but this has been the same for me with every after shave balm that I have used in the past. The balm is not incredibly cooling and I always like the feeling of a ‘cooling gel’ after an annoying shaving session, this is not a cooling balm but I shall not complain as it’s not described to be one .

The balm generally lasts a long time on my skin and it keeps it moisturised throughout the day, I do however require a quick 'freshen up' every now and then as some areas of my face can become very dry. This balm works well and it quickly moisturises the areas that dry up but I must say that I find normal facial moisturisers such as 'Nivea' a lot more effective than this product. This is by no means an intensive moisturiser but it definitely helps after shaving so I still highly recommend the product.

Water, Isopropyl Myristate, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Cyclopentasiloxane, Triethanolamine, Lanolin, Cyclohexasiloxane, Fragrance, Cetearyl Alcohol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Allantoin, Melaleuce Alternifolia (Tea tree) Leaf Oil, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Citric Acid, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Limonene, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional….. LUSH!

*** Overall opinion ***

I love this post shave balm and it is very kind to my skin, I’m not the best of shavers around and I always end up cutting myself in some shape and form but this is very gentle and it prevents pain while soothing my skin. The tube has so far lasted me three months and there is absolutely loads left so I shall not need another tube for a good few months yet. I highly recommend this Product!
