Jammie Oliver is a genius, only in the cooking sence. He's not know as being too bright, but who cares. As long as he produces brill recipes I will keep buying his books. I have all four and use them regulary.
He named hiself and the series the naked shef because he is going back to basics with his recipes. No poncing about. Proper food for propper people.
The ingredients he uses are widely available and things that we have all heard of. I have never had any trouble buying ingredients.
Everything is well laid out and easy to follow. Recipes are also easy to find. The book is split into 17 chapters: Introduction Make life easy Potty about herbs Morning glory Tapas, munchies and snacks Simple salada and dressings Soups and boths Pasta and risoto Fish and shell fish Meat and poultry Vegetables Bread Desserts Bevvies Stocks,

The introduction tells us a little about what Jamie has been doing since the fist episode and naked chef book, and how glad and thankful he is for the chance to be able to do this, his second book.
Make life easier tells us how important it is to have a kitche that is well stocked. This is then broken down into:
Cupboard stuff (oils, salts, pepper, mustards, sugars, flours, baking powder, semolina, cous cous, pasta, pulces, rices, anchovies, capers, olives, soy fish and oyster sauces, plum tomatoes, sun dried tomatoes, dried mushrooms, chocolate and coco powder).
Fresh stuff(lemons, limes, garlic, ginger, onions, chillies, potatoes and herbs).
Potty about herbs is about growing your own herbs. I also recomend this as I grow my own herbs and vegetables, nothing shop bought will ever taste as good as home grown.
Morning glory is recipe ideas for breakfast. My favourite is figs honey and ricotta, We have it as a afternoon snack instead of breakfast.
Tapas, munchies and snacks has 13 recipes the ones that I have tried are delish. Blackened sweet aubergine is fab.
Simple salads and dressings has 17 recipes I cant coment on the dressings as I like my salads naked, but the slads are great. There is recipes for warm and cold salads.
Soups and broths is a short chapter with only 5 recipes. Im not really a make your own soup person. I just open a can instead so I cant coment on them
Pasta and risotto has resipes for making fresh pasta, too much hastle for me. It also tells you how to dry and shape pasta. there is 19 recipes tha use pasta and 4 risoto dishes. My favourite is spaghetti with red onions, sun dried tomatoes, balsamic vinegar and basil. Its like you have never tasted.
Fish and shell fish I cant coment on as I wont go anywhere near seafood ever since my dad gave us food poisoning as kids. 11 recipes.
Meat, poultry and game has 13 recipes and they all look super, the ones I have tried are especially roast loin of pork wiyh peaches. Yes I did type that right peaches, sounds wierd tastes great.
Vegetables has 10 recipes I have tried all of these and cant pick a favourite they are all good.
Bread, I do like baking my own bread the smell is just out of this world. Jamies basic bread recipe is yum he adds a spoonful of honey which makes this my fave recipe in the whole book.9 different ideas.
Desserts, who can resist these 14 recipes. I dont know anyone who could. The most simple is maltesers and ice cream and the most difficult but still easy is the creme brulee.
Bevvies has 14 ideas from alcoholic cocktails to smoothies. A great idea for adult parties is the watermelon full with vodka. My sister done this it takes about 3 days to do but is well worth the wait. She also done a archers one.
Stocks, sauses, bits, bobs, this, that and the other has 7 ideas I haven't tried any of these as I use my own recipes.

The return of the naked chef has 288 pages of great recipes. Each with its own Full colour picture. The front of the book has a picture of jamie on his scooter.

The books R.R.P. is 20.00 but alot of places sell it cheaper as the book was released 4 years ago.
