It must be very difficult to write a guidebook. So much information on a city or country to cram into one book small enough to be convenient for tourists. The guidebooks I have read (a fair amount- I like to plan!) tend to either have lots of information and few photos (Rough Guides/ Lonely Planet) or lots of photos and comparatively little info (Eyewitness Travel for example). This guide is a must buy if you are thinking of visiting Berlin. Found it very useful on a recent holiday. The guide is split up into the various areas of Berlin and each section contains a vast amount of information on the attractions/museums to visit including opening hours, prices, public transport. Recommended hotels, restaurants and shops are also listed. Useful maps are also provided as well a bit of the history of the city and past events.
