ContraNone for me.

The Shipping News is one of the books that I regularly re-read. I chose it initially because of the cover of my copy, a rough and icy sea breaking on rocks, and also the title of the book. Having been at sea for most of my adult life I thought this was one for me. There was also the little added...

ProSimply a Superb book

ContraStyle takes a little getting used to, slow to get ...

I loved this book, and I love Annie Proulx's writing. This book may take a little while to get into but it is definately worth the effort, however, as with all of Proulx's work, don't expect a straightforward story with a beginning, a middle and an end, or you will be frustrated. This novel...
