Advantages: interesting story Disadvantages: hard to get in to
AmandaBrookfield is one of my favourite authors and I tend to anticipate her new books with relish. She tends to write about normal everyday people who seem to have more than their fair share of ups and downs in life. This is exactly the case with her latest offering 'Life Begins' which centres on an almost forty year old divorced woman and her rather unpredictable life!
The central chaaracter is Charlotte Turner who is recently divorced from Martin with whom she has a somewhat acrimonious relationship. They do however have to keep communicating with each other because of their thirteen year old son Sam. Added to this Charlotte has a difficult relationship with her own mother but she does have a good support network of friends.

I am a lover of comedy TV, and the series' of 8 SimpleRules cannot be missed! 8 SimpleRules has some of the biggest US names.
8 SimpleRules is about a family living in Michigan, USA. In this very funny programme, is a mother, a father, two teenage girls, and one teenage boy. This is set in the year 2003 onwards. The mother and father are coping with raising teenagers, involving boyfriends, girlfriends, and carrying themselfs as real "Hennessey's" (Their surname). The father is a writer, and the mother is a nurse at the local hospital. We do not tend to see much of their work places in the show though, only on rare occaisions, and in certain episodes. The two teenage girls are interested in guys at school, and the older sister Bridgett, has more luck when it comes to boyfriends. However, the younger daughter in the family calls ...
