Christmas Every Day!!!

Advantages: More objects to hang around the house
Disadvantages: Frustrating!

...recieved this expansion pack for the Sims 2 as a Christmas gift. I am a huge fan of the Sims and often sit for hours on end playing god.

I was hoping, at around £10 RRP, this would enhance my gameplay somewhat (considering what you get from your usual expansion packs at around £19.99.)

Unfortunately, I have to admit I was a bit let down by this one.

What extra features did I get?? Some added ornaments ...
...fire if your Sims left the lights on when they went to bed (auto lights don't appear to be option on this one!) and some rather tacky 'festive' wallpaper and carpets!

Yes, Santa does appear - sometimes. But how and when is a mystery to me.... I think I've tried pretty much everything. He visited once, and went round the house "Ho, Ho, Ho-ing" for about 5 hours, woke all my Sims up, and didn't even leave any presents!! (Maybe ... more

Lots of little additions for your Sims!

Advantages: Lots of new items
Disadvantages: Could be thought of being an expansion pack!

...not an expansion pack in the way that other packs (e.g. Nightlife) are. It is simply a CD with 40 new objects and decor items for your Sims. The good thing about it is simply, if you like your Sims to enjoy the same time of year as you (e.g. Christmas) then you can use the additional objects to make them feel, for example, festive. In addition to the Christmas objects, you get stuff for Easter and Hallowe'en as well, so the objects can be used all ...
...a whole is that the objects have a full interaction in the game and as such, elicit responses from the Sims in the same way as other objects. Beware as well though as there can be nasty side effects of the items (Christmas Trees can burn down!) so be careful with them. Overall, this is a very handy little pack to have simply because it nicely expands the amount of objects available for you to use in your game. The installation process installs all ...

This pack is now redundant...

Advantages: Contains Christmas items...
Disadvantages: Is out of date and has been made redundant by a more recent edition...

The Christmas party pack is now out of date and has been replaced by the Sims 2: Festive Stuff. The 'festive stuff' pack which was released the year after, contains all of the same features, items, and clothing, as well as some extras including some Asian style clothing and European Christmas items. Having bought this when it first appeared on the shelves, one year before the new version was released, I was extremely upset that the newer items were ...
...purchased the original Christmas pack. Had I known that an updated pack was to be released, I would have waited to get the extra items and clothing. If you have neither pack, I would recommend buying the newest version. If you have this pack but not the newer version, I really don't think it is worth the extra cost just for a few extra items. ...

Christmas Time For The Sims

Advantages: Lots of themed items
Disadvantages: No gameplay extras

This is not the best Sims 2 Expansion Pack to come out of the EA (Electronic Arts) studios but is still sims and I think it is valuable, at a cheaper recommended retail price (RRP) of £5.00 the content is worth the money, it supplies your sims with all new items especially for christmas time, but does include some items designed for new year. It allows the younger sims to see Santa and they can sit around the christmas tree and open their presents. ...
...or stars to hang on the wall. You can have a lot of fun with this game. it adds to the Sims 2 series but the game is not to the usual standard that the Sims 2 presents us with. The are some new features such as what you can bake, you can bake santa cookies which are made by your sims and decorated. There isn't really that much to say about this expansion pack because it really doesn't include much to help you decide whether it is worth the money ...

its not just for christmas...

Advantages: great extra for any sim lover
Disadvantages: objects not always relevant

...decorations to hang up round the house like stockings and christmas trees, anyone who wants to expand the game should start here. Make your Sims look like Santa, or discover if the mysteries of a midnight Santa are really true. Not only that it comes with extra items for a New Year Party too! SO have great party's with your sims, while remembering that you must have The Sims 2 as a base game first otherwise it will not work. However i would recommend ...

Glamour at a Price

Advantages: None, unless you're a die-hard fan
Disadvantages: Not a lot of stuff on it.

your Sim (who is played as part of a family unit that you create either at the beginning or by getting them to marry and have children) to achieve their aspirations or whether you want to set your own goals for them. The game has much more to it than can be mentioned here, as this is not the right review, so I will move back onto the Glamour Life Stuff pack. This is a Stuff Pack as opposed to an expansion pack (like University, Nightlife or Open For Business) and does not add anything to the game other than new outfits, furniture of accessories. Other stuff packs include Christmas Party Pack and Family Fun Stuff. You need to have the Sims 2 installed on your PC in order to play this game, though it is not obligatory to have any of the expansion packs or other stuff packs. You also need a 1.0 Ghz processor and an additional 1BG free ...
