Advantages Fun to pass time

Disadvantages Real time play

Okay, so it was my sister's birthday and my mum took her out on the day to buy her presents as, to be honest, she's never satisfied. So, anyway we were in ASDA when we noticed that nintendo ds games were 2 for £25. Selected ones. So, my mum lets the sister with the birthday and my other sister pick a game each, one of those games being The Sims 2.

Now, I thought, it would be the PC version but PORTABLE :D. It's not :(. But it's still fun.

Basically, the game is like this. You are a self made sim, when I say self made, you pick your hair, face, clothes and name. Limited, really. Then you go on to play a game where you are manager of a hotel in Strangetown. I know what you're thinking. A hotel in Strangetown? Who would have thought. But yes. It's true, my friends :D.

So, the hotel has been given to you by an anonymous character who couldnt handle managing the hotel. How? How? I ask. It only has one small guest room, a basement and manager's quarters. But that's the excuse. Personally, I think that person wanted a long holiday. But they're not getting the hotel back now.

Unlike the PC version of The Sims 2, it is real life time. Now I didn't know this. Because Im a numpty. I was playing all happily, when I realised that the time was going really slow, forgive me if Im wrong but shouldn't it at least be Wednesday by now, I'd ask myself. Even sleeping didn't move time. Until I went on the internet and discovered it was real time. A downfall really.

Moving on, you are asked to check people in, calm people down, cheer people up, clean up the hotel, buy building permission for new rooms(which take eight hours to build, I might add.) and make money. You know, stuff like that. You also have to deal with alien invasions :|. Seriously, them aliens are wimps. A splash of water and theyre running back to their mothership. Dare mess with me! Grr.

Overall, the game is good to pass some time, however slow it may go on the game. Don't expect it to be up to the same standards as the PC game as you will be in for a big shock.
