This is where your sims can go to hang out and buy dating-related paraphernalia. There are several restaurants ranging from the diner style to the more upmarket fish place, as well as a beach area, memorial park and a couple of malls.Here you have to find a suitable sim and start chatting them up. To help you out there are over 40 new interactions and "interests". These are like the "skills" cooking, mechanical etc and are listed in a new menu denoted by the speech bubble. Here you can see exactly what your sim is into and will talk about. You can improve these by making your sims more well read with magazines bought in the Mall.Once you have charmed your opposite number, it's time to ask them on a date. There are now two relationship meters, one for your long-term relationship with this sim and one for that particular encounter. How high these are will determine whether you get knocked back or not, but if you do manage to get their phone number when you return home you will see that you are able to call them and invite them downtown for a date. If only reality was that easy.In terms of new furniture-related and decorative items, themed around the downtown area. For the Casanova sim, there is a heart-shaped hot tub and of course some new skins so that you can introduce new faces into your town.You can also edit the downtown area by creating your own buildings. You have free reign to create a dating arena extraordinaire as there is no budget. On the not-so-positive side, the game still suffers from freezing up for several seconds when there is a high level of detail on the screen and there isn't a massive amount of new stuff here if you have already played the sims to death, but having said thatThe Simsis really is one of the best and most addictive sim-games out there and this expansion pack is definitely better value for your simoleans than any of the others have been. --Kristen Bowditch

Before the only way to get the sims out of the house was to go on another house and invite them round as a guest but they controlled themselves and we couldn't tell them what to do. Another way the sims went out was when they went to work but we never went with the so we didn't get to se them out of the house. The sims hot date allows us to go with our sims and take them to a place where they can meet new people and even buy news clothes and other items to take home.
When you go on a date it is alot harder to talk to people as you need lots in common such as you r sims interests. Your sims interests are shown to you. It shows you how much that sims is interested in soimething. You can build up your sims interests by buying books of a paticular interest from the lots and reading up about something. Your sim has to be in a good mood before they will learn anything and it takes a while before they start building up interests.
You can take your sims out and about and even invite a friend, which on the evening you can hang out and ask to go on a date. If your sim is lonely and doesn't have any friends that he or she likes then you can take your sim on their own and meet someone at the places.
Your sims can decide to hang out or date and make lots of friendships this way as it helps people to form friendships.
You can create a downtown lots complete with shops, restaurants, parks and a beach. Improve the long and short-term relationships with over 40 new one-on-one interactions.The sims hot date expansion pack has created new characters to meet and date such as:

The Sims Hot Date is the new and exciting expansion pack from Maxis/EA Games, following on from the success of The Sims, Sims, Livin’ it up, and Sims House Party. Hot date was released in the UK in November, and according to an assistant in PC world in Derby has sold well, and as I write it is number 12 in the Amazon.co.uk ‘Hot 100’ PC games. I eventually bought via Amazon.co.uk, as they offered one of the best prices around for ... ...may begin!
I found the installation of the game was easy, with none of the problems reported by other users (crashes etc.). All I needed to do was to find my Sims House Party disk (easier said than done in our study!), and insert it after first inserting the Hot Date disk. Maxis recommend that if you buy the other expansion packs (House party, Livin’ it up) after Hot Date, then it is best to uninstall all the Sims programmes, and to install ...

Well, yes apparently it could, because a range of expansion packs followed in quick succession, each more brilliant than the last. But still I felt something was lacking. Ok, so my Sim could throw wonderful House Parties and choose from a variety of interesting jobs. She had interesting ... ...time. But where was the challenge? Sim men are, on the whole, extremely easy to romance and seduce. Flirt with them a couple of times, give them a backrub, and they’re ready to fall at your feet and declare never ending love.
